80 S Main St, TropicWow. The best dinner stop we had on our 7 day National Parks trip. The food was incredible (ribs were insane, steak was pretty damn good). Sides were simple and done right, coleslaw was light and baked potato / mashed potatoes were amazing. Our service was so kind — they had a 911 emergency during dinner and handled it so amazingly well.
They were a bit understaffed for the dinner rush and some people definitely waited longer for their food, so I recommend getting there closer to 5:30 than 6:30. Live music was great and not too loud. We preferred the patio. Total for two very hungry people was $115 with tip.

The Pizza Place
21 N Main St, TropicWe were 7 hungry travelers visiting and we hit Pizza Place twice in our trip. The restaurant had exceptional taste, service and quality. Their onion rings and fry sauce, cheesy garlic bread and veggie pizza were the standout! Shoutout to Luis, he didn’t turn us back when we came in pretty close to the end of the store timings and was so patient and sweet with us, and fed us to our heart’s content and gave us recommendations on the menu. Thank you Luis, you are a gem!

Route 12 Grill
50 S Main St, TropicI was pleasantly surprised and impressed with Route 12 Grill that was connected with Stage Stop Station. My family came right at the transition time between breakfast and lunch. I wanted breakfast and got the meat lovers omelette. It was fantastic. A huge portion of food at a very reasonable price. My wife and kids waited 10 mins and got the burgers and fries. They absolutely loved it and nothing was left on their plates. Just like breakfast, the lunch portions were huge and definitely filling. The grill and gas station is very clean and orderly. The workers were very friendly, helpful, and timely. There is a nice seating area for the grill. If you want a place to fuel up and get a good meal to eat without paying outrageous prices at a national park, this is the stop you need to make.
