Red Rover Retreat at The Hitch'n Post
4200 N, Wagon Wheel Dr E, Cedar CityWe are visiting in Utah for about four months so wanted to find a spot for our two little dogs where they could enjoy the same Doggie Day Care experience they have at home. We were absolutely thrilled with Red Rover Retreat.
Half way through their Play date they sent us videos and it was clear they were having an awesome time… Can’t wait to come back in the very near future.

This store looks a lot bigger than you would think.. like those UFO shows that talk about a secret closet bigger inside...

Pet Care

Cedar City Animal Hospital
2333 W, UT-56, Cedar CityVery grateful for the vet and how open he was answering all my questions. he was very kind to me and my situation and didn’t pressure me to get unnecessary treatments for my cat when you can make an educated guess on how useful it will be if the outcome is just going to stay the same.
I Felt like the receptionist spoke to me like I was stupid though. The way things were worded made me feel like I was dumb for asking.

Color Country Animal Hospital
390 N 4050 W, Cedar CityDr. Pyne is absolutely incredible! We adopted a dog and wanted to establish care and she went above and beyond! She made sure he was up to date on vaccinations, got on the ground with him to thoroughly assess him, listened to our concerns, and offered great counsel for his care. We lost our last dog to bloat and Dr. Pyne was great about discussing our options for prevention with us. The office was clean and the staff was friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Pyne!

Pet Sitting & Training

Quichapa Kennels
7350 3600 S, Cedar CityLucy is the second dog that we have brought here for training. They did not disappoint. Lucy walks on a leash without pulling. She comes back when called. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. She has so much confidence and such a great citizen. We highly recommend having your dog come here.
It’s nice to know that while Lucy was here she was with these amazing people who treated her with love and compassion. The communication while Lucy was here was above and beyond.

Las Flores Family Mexican Restaurant
126 N Main St, Cedar CityRarely have a gone out to eat and found the food so compelling that I devour it without remembering to take any photos at all - and yet here we were at Flores; I failed to take any photos of their off-the-charts spicy margarita, home made chicken tamales, or freshly fried chips with three types of home made salsa. If you’re looking for a place that subliminally signals you should make yourself at home and dig in - there can be no better spot in town! I should also note that the staff was as amazing as the food. Strong recommend!!

Bristlecone
67 West Center Street, Cedar CityThis local spot is easy to walk to from the nearby Hilton hotel. Clean and open space with plenty of natural light and indoor space to either work at one of the many tables or lounge in a chair. The barista was patient and friendly. We could not easily spot a menu and had to wait until we were at the counter to use their laminated menus to decide. They do have a cute decor wall with framed drinks near the counter, but it’s not their menu. We ordered an iced strawberry lemonade and an iced lavender latte and both were well flavored and balanced. They were quick to have our drinks in our hands. We would return to this spot.

Tea Tok | Ramen House
93 S Main St, Cedar CityStopped by with my wife for a boba, takoyaki and calamari. Service was great, atmosphere is adorable. Also, it is extremely difficult to find calamari anywhere that isn't overcooked and rubbery. Theirs was perfect, only ever found calamari as good in Anchorage Alaska (Barry's bungalow). Their takoyaki is always also phenomenal

Color Country Aussies
3583 S 6100 W, Cedar CityIf you can imagine, I am a 56 year old marine veteran. When my wife and I got our baby over 4 years ago. We had recently lost out 15 year old croatian sheep dog to cancer. We bought our girl on line just from pictures and short videos. When we arrived in cedar city, we meet a lady next to the interstate to deliver her to us. My wife got our of our truck and meet the lady and picked up Mya, that stands for my a dog. She put her down on the floor board, and we locked eyes. She came to me and wrapped her arms around my neck and layed her head on my shoulder. I dont know if there is anything to that imprinting theory, but it happened between us. I cried like a little baby and we still have that relationship today. So I would absolutely recommend color country kennels to everyone. One word of caution, if you can't handle a dog that its smarter than most people you know, you might want to reconsider. It gets really old having to spell words in front of her, and after this doesn't work. We have to use code words and use hand signals. Its just a matter of time before she picks up on our system.
