I am a skeptical person when it comes to purchasing goods or services, so when I look for a place to take our family vehicle in to for a diagnostic I am thorough in my search, and John at Macedone Auto Repair did not disappoint. He actually exceeded my expectations (which are by no means low). My wife and I arrived in Ogden after a long road trip to find our vehicle to be making a very loud scraping metal noise with nothing dragging on the ground when I took a look under. I initially scheduled with another well rated local shop, but couldn't be seen for a little over a week. When I called John he heard the concern in my voice and told me that he could at least take a look at my vehicle today. Within an hour he had diagnosed the problem, repaired what had to be done and had me back on the road without having to give him an arm OR a leg. His diagnostic was fast and thorough, well priced and best of all HONEST! I was refreshed to find someone like John who could very easily have charged quite a lot for an emergency diagnostic or overcharged for service, but he chooses rather to sleep well at night knowing that he does right by others. I genuinely hope that you (reader) also have a similar experience with John when you find yourself in need of a vehicle service, and I trust that you will!”

“Bottom line: Super fair, friendly, and reasonable place to get your car worked on.

A few years ago I had ordered a custom dog crate that was to be put in my car. During install the person working on my car hyperextended the door while installing the crate, and moving forward we knew the only way to get that crate out was going to be by removing the car door. Recently I decided to upgrade the crate, and was dreading finding someone to remove the car door so we could switch out the crate, and also see if the new crate could be installed without removing the car door.

The first person I went to / was recommended to told me that it was going to take at least 5 hours of work. That didn't sit right with me, so I went to get a second opinion. Enter Roger, who when I spoke with him on the phone, told me he's been doing this for many many years, and that the entire thing would take an hour and a half at most. We made the appointment, met with Roger, showed him the old and new crates, and explained the install concern about the new one. My father and I went to grab a bite to eat, and within an hour of dropping off the car I get a call from Roger telling me my car was good to go and that the new crate slid in no problem with the car door still attached. To say I was elated would be an understatement. Car and crate looked amazing, and Roger was a pleasure to work with.

I couldn't get there till after the dentist, so I must've looked grumpy with my numbed face. The guy was very quick and considerate as he filled the crack :)”

“Got a deal online for tires and had them shipped to the auto center. Set up an appointment to have the tires installed. I would give five stars but they put the wrong tires on. I hope they weren't being dishonest because the ones they put on were less quality than the tires I bought. They fixed their mistake but at the cost of my time.”
