I've been thinking about buying a cello for years now. I played one through junior high and high school, but the violin had been my primary instrument and so was the only instrument I owned (which we also purchased from Grover years ago), and we didn't have the money for a cello, too.I walked in to Classical Strings on a whim on a Saturday, just expecting to shop around. The staff were so incredibly helpful in explaining the rent to buy options versus the buy to keep options and immediately helped me figure out what price range I wanted and then got me set up with testing out three cellos.Their instruments are all top quality, and they're so good at making sure you get the instrument that fits you best. I love the cello they helped me pick out, and if I need an upgrade or another instrument in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to come back here again.

Son's violin was broken. They fixed it quickly, shared knowledge about why it happened and how to avoid the issue again. Easy to work with and prices were very doable.

Grover and his employees are fantastic. Grover went above and beyond to make sure my daughter had a viola that best fit her not only size wise but what quality of sound she liked the best. He gave her history of different violas and why they have different sounds, quality of wood etc…. He showed her different types of bows as well. When I made the appointment I thought we would see 2 or 3 violas, but Grover took the time to sit with my daughter and showed her around 8 different violas and let her play music on them. She got to try 3 different styles of bows and find what best worked for her. This viola is our 5th string instrument and I honestly wish we knew about Classical Strings and Grover before because I would have bought all our instruments from him. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Thank you Grover and Classical Strings Family.

We rented a violin for my son to begin lessons. They were very helpful, friendly, and encouraging to him. They even offer a low cost insurance plan for the violin-- a great feature for anyone with a 10 year old boy.

This business deserves every star possible! We went here shopping for a viola for our daughter and we knew absolutely nothing about them. They took the time to explain everything to us and go over EVERY option they had to make sure we got the right fit.
