Tee J's Custom Mutt Cuts
2730 S Daniels Rd #4063, Heber CityWe've boarded our dogs at Tee J's twice now (our little old man Dachshund and a Belgian Malinois) and let me just start by saying leaving our dogs in boarding is not something we take lightly. Usuall our dogs travel with us or stay with a highly trusted friend, but sometimes that's not possible, so we researched boarding kennels in Heber and found Tee J's. Besides being incredibly convenient to our home our dogs have been well cared for and return home happy and healthy and NOT smelling like a kennel, which is always a plus. Tee J's kennels are clean and safe and her prices are very reasonable. Our daughter has also boarded her dogs with Tee J and loved it as well. We highly recommend Tee J's!

Mountain Dog Lounge
464 N Main St, Heber CityWe had such a great experience at the Mountain Dog Lounge here in Heber City! We brought our dogs in to get their nails done, and the team was incredibly welcoming and friendly from the moment we walked in. They were so gentle and kind with our dogs, and we loved that we were able to see the entire process — it really gave us peace of mind.
The shop itself is adorable, clean, and has such a warm vibe. This has honestly been one of the best grooming experiences we’ve ever had. We’ll definitely be coming back, and we highly recommend Mountain Dog Lounge to anyone looking for a great place to take their pups. We’ll be visiting again soon for more services for our doggies!

Goldrush Kennels
1000 W 800 S, Heber CityMary is great with our girls! She also grooms them too. She's been doing this since the 80's and she truly cares about the animals she watches over.
The kennels are of good size. Both our dogs share one, and its large enough to fit a dog house so they can have privacy if they want. They can also be social and have neighbors with their set up. Love this place! ❤️ You also don't need to pay extra for them to play and run around outside.

Lupita's Valley
650 W 100 S #10, Heber CityIf you want authentic Mexican food that tastes like it came straight out of someone’s family kitchen instead of a corporate recipe book, you NEED to try Lupita’s Mexican Restaurant.
This isn’t the kind of place where everything tastes frozen, overly processed, or made to please tourists. The food tastes like generations of recipes, love, hard work, and tradition were poured into every single dish. The kind of food that makes you close your eyes after the first bite because it tastes like you’re sitting in someone’s warm little casita while their grandmother cooks in the kitchen nearby.
The meats are flavorful and tender, the sauces are rich and comforting, the rice and beans actually have flavor, and everything tastes homemade in the best possible way. You can tell this is food made by people who truly care about what they’re serving. The tortillas, the spices, the slow-cooked flavors… it all feels authentic and soulful instead of rushed.
And beyond the food, the people are incredibly kind and welcoming. You feel like a guest instead of just another customer walking through the door.
Small family-owned restaurants like this are special, and honestly, places like Lupita’s are the heart of a community. We are lucky to have them here.

Paws for Life Utah
89 N 100 E, Heber CityWith my experiences adopting a dog here, it went very well. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgable about the animals they have. They aren't afraid to tell you the bad habits of a certain pet, but they also gave great advice for every question I had. I went in there a couple times and they always had different dogs up for adoption. It appears dogs get adopted fast from this center, which shows their commitment to finding homes for these pets. My dog already had her vaccinations, was spade, and was used to being around people, dogs, cats, and children. Their animals are very well socialized being around people and pets all day. I noticed the puppies and young dogs always got adopted first. I think some of the old dogs had been there a while sadly. They let me take my dog home for 2 weeks without any commitment before I decided to adopt her. They also let me borrow a dog crate and keep dog toys, as well as letting me keep the collar and leash they used for her. There is an adoption fee with pups the most expensive and old dogs very cheap. My dog was the second most expensive option being a older puppy, $250. Worth the price and cheaper than a breeder I reckon. If you're looking for a pet you can always visit every so often until you meet a dog you love. I'm not knowledgable about the cat adoptions, but my dog adoption experience was worth 5 stars.
