Hopebox Theatre is a small non-profit community theatre located in Kaysville. It is dedicated to bringing hope to families battling cancer through the performing arts. For every show, a "Wall of Hope" recipient battling cancer is selected. A portion of the ticket sales and 100% of community donations collected during the show's run go to help that person with their fight. On closing night, the recipient and their family are invited to the show, showered with gifts, and presented with the check from the community. The theatre itself is an intimate space with two banks of seats flanking a smaller stage, where there is no bad seat. Productions are very entertaining, fun, and professional, featuring talented and friendly people with outstanding singing voices. Actors come from various backgrounds and stage experience. The audience etiquette is looser than in more established theatres, and theatregoers really get into the show, creating a lively atmosphere. After the show, there is sometimes a meet and greet in the lobby. While the parking lot is not very big and parking can be tricky, visitors find the experience wonderful and highly recommend supporting this theatre, noting you will not regret spending your money here.
