The amenities and equipment at this facility are first rate. Price is a great value. The manager was incredibly helpful. I only needed a 2 week membership and he helped me figure out how to do that. I was stunned at how packed the gym is at 5am, but that’s a testament to how good the facility is. There seems to be a sizable portion of the membership who lack basic gym etiquette/courtesy - sitting and resting on a machine for 5+ minutes while others are waiting and having an attitude and wont allow another to work in one set. The pool and hot tub had clean water, but the pool bottom seemed to not have been cleaned recently (sand and such). Overall I’d say this is a gym that most other gyms should seek to emulate.

Overrun with fruit flies for the past 3 weeks and getting worse. Even though this gym is usually quite busy, I previously preferred this location for the atmosphere and because I liked the Kidcare personnel better. The gym is laid our nicely and feels OK even when crowded, but the fruit flies are becoming intolerable. I asked the front desk staff if they were aware and they confirmed numerous complaints had been made, but nothing had been done to address it. Having a tiny little fruit fly floating around your face while working out is really pretty disgusting.

Vasa Fitness used to be a sanctuary where one’s soul could find refuge from the ceaseless banalities of modern life, until recently that is. As I was attempting a one-rep max deadlift (135 lbs), a large bug suddenly flew into my mouth, leaving me incredibly disturbed. I generally prefer to ingest my protein post workout instead of during. Much to my horror, these bugs began to reproduce exponentially over the ensuing weeks, rapidly overtaking the pajama-wearing high-schoolers as the largest demographic at the gym. I couldn’t believe such infestation continued unabated— surely one of the numerous summer-sales bros that frequent this location could sell the gym manager a viable solution. But alas, the bugs have won, and preventive measures now would be akin to charging into hell with a squirt gun. I take great comfort in knowing that, should my body suddenly collapse, my earthly vessel will be instantly decomposed by a vibrant ecosystem of insects and critters that now reign supreme over the human gym-goers.If you wish to simulate The Mummy ride at Universal Studios (with real bugs instead of special effects), look no further than the Olympic lifting section at the local Vasa Fitness on 200 North.

Not a bad place to work out. It’s frequently crowded and can be hard to get a machine you want. If something (machines, drinking fountains, cinema, etc) gets broken, it takes months for them to get it fixed. The cinema room is a sauna (76 degrees today) and while they say they are looking into it, nothing ever happens to remedy the situation. The bathrooms run out of TP frequently and staff have told us that they only check bathrooms once a shift. A poorly run and maintained gym, but it does the job.

This has to be one of most poorly run gyms I have ever visited. Basketball is a big selling point, but the court was unusable for several months because one is the baskets was broken. There hasn't been a scale for at least two months. This is gym after all, why would you need a scale? But those annoyances compared to the total lack of janitorial services. When I got there this morning I told them there was no toilet paper. After I worked out and went back into the locker room there is a poor guy stuck in the stall yelling for help... Still no toilet paper. There is no trash can in the bathroom/locker room, the showers are almost always out of soap, and worst of all the flower area is disgusting. I have no idea how often it gets cleaned, but it is apparent the answer is rarely. I have mentioned all these things to staff multiple times and only get a shoulder shrug or an excuse. Why do I go there you ask? Fair question. In two weeks I am moving and will no longer attend Vasa. I just haven't wanted to go through a new initiation with a different gym when I knew I was moving.Join Vasa at your own risk.

A year ago, the staff was friendly and attentive. But now the staff is rude and can barely be bothered to check you in. I could be fine with that since we’re not at the gym to chat, but it’s the fruit flies that ruin it. They’re everywhere and I’ve asked the front desk about them and they just pretend they’ve never noticed. I see at least 5 fruit flies every workout and it’s super distracting and just gross. They’ve had this issue for months so I refuse to believe no one’s ever noticed. Makes me think the smoothie shop isn’t very well cleaned if there’s bugs throughout the entire gym.

poor business practicesbe carefulmy high age son didn’t realize his monthly $13 payments weren’t being processed by his bank, Vasa never told him and would just let him scan in when he would arrive at the Gym and then after 3 months they sent his account to collections and he had to pay $178

Deceptive billing practices. Promised a $9.99 monthly fee but charged $64.32 Refuse to help. They don't care about making you a happy customer. They just want to rob your checking account. Be wary.

Best and cleanest gym I've ever been to. Been a member for a few years now and I love it. Cardio Cinema for the win here!!! Open early and great staff! Keepin myself in shape is a lot easier when I enjoy the spot I go to. This is the best gym I've ever been to. Period

I really like how nice the staff who work there are, and they always greet you with a smile, and help you to feel welcome. I love the fact that Vasa has a basketball court, and swimming pool, and there’s a lot of family friendly people thanks vasa!

Vasa is amazing. I’m surprised at how often I’ve gone when there was a packed full parking lot but still gotten a spot, still gotten all the machines I wanted. And still had a great workout. Highly recommended

The gym looks great and clean but the number of machines is low to amount of people working out there. The waiting times for a machine are huge. I had to wait almost a week until I had chance to exercise on the leg extension machine. Sauna is always busy.If you want to work on Sunday be aware that at 3:50pm they will repeatedly turn on and off the lights to make you understand that they close at 4pm ? so all the gym lights will be turned off. Working out in different gym around the world I have never seen something like that before. That’s rude in my opinion.I had to transfer my membership to the Layton location to have a decent workout. The customer service could be better too.Again the gym is good and probably the best in Kaysville but they reached the maximum number of members a long time ago. The restrooms are always clean and organized.

I go weekly. Equipment is maintained. The basketball court is of good quality. Not unbearably busy. But not empty by any means. They removed racquetball years ago and I'm still sad about it. They need to organize basketball games to attract more use of their facilities. Have events. It will make the gym a community, and not just a sweat warehouse.
