Layton Commons Park is a very beautiful place. It features a creek with ducks and sometimes swans, a playground, picnic tables under a pavilion, a stage for concerts, and a replica Vietnam memorial wall. The city keeps up the effort and energy year-round with events like sidewalk fairs in summer. Every winter, the park hosts an incredible and awesome holiday light display. It is a free drive-through or walk-through event with an eclectic menagerie of illuminated fauna, including whales, bears, moose, and dinosaurs. The display is amazing and seems to grow each year. Walking through is definitely a must and a neat experience. Some displays have interactive sound buttons for little ones. The place is big enough that it does not feel crowded, even when busy. For a small fee, there is also a little train ride. This event is a wonderful and cool experience that many families make a yearly tradition, providing great Christmas cheer.
Awesome playground, awesome duck pond, great walking trail, very well upkept.

Great park for family outdoor time. Considered a pack in/pack out park so no garbage cans.
