“I’ve been shopping here for years and i’ve ALWAYS had amazing experiences here. I’ve decorated my whole house with furniture from this store! The workers are so friendly and helpful and the vibes in the store are incredible. My #1 favorite thrift store.”

“Both mover’s (Dillan and Brandon) were courteous, professional, friendly, and went out of their way to make sure that I was satisfied with not only my purchase, but with the Customer Service that I had experienced as well. I will never shop at retail furniture store again, EVER!This is the third piece of furniture I’ve got The first two were antiques, one of which was valued at more then 20 times what I paid for it! I just love it people always want to know where I find my furniture and I always tell them your store. Thanks again.”

“This owner is the sweetest most deserving person of your business. I got a lovely set of jars and some candles and a few toys for my baby there and I keep telling folks to go here. She’s a warm soul and this place is packed with beautiful trinkets and treasures. Tons of old art, sewing supplies, books etc”

“Every scarf I've ever loved has come from this delightful shop, and I've rarely left its cozy atmosphere without a new prize in hand. It can be a bit of a gymnastic feat navigating the trove of beautiful and quirky finds, but it is always well worth the effort. The owner is a gem and their Instagram is so precious. Probably my favorite vintage spot in SLC, highly recommend visiting their pop-ups in the Salt & Honey Markets on 9th & 9th and Fashion Place Mall. Love, love, love.”

“I don't know why I should write a 5 star review. It will only invite more people to shop here and why would I want that? This is the best thrift store I've ever shopped in except for maybe one in San Francisco that was on the top floor of an old church. Assistance League is super clean and the merchandise is very nice. The best part is the volunteers who work there. They are all very friendly and fun to talk with. Good luck and happy hunting.”

“This was my first time at Preloved! Lily was so helpful at educating me about how Preloved works and the energy of the store has me wanting to go back. I will definitely want to sell and go back to shop. Thanks, Lily!”

“I just walked around and stumbled on this thrift shop. This is a true knickknack store with odds and ends. They have GI Joe toys if you collect those. At the back of the shop is a coffee area so you can grab a coffee and hang out. Proceeds go to animal rescue worth a stop for a few minutes to check out.”

“We have drove from Layton to there twice in the last week. The prices are very reasonable for what I was looking for, and she is very good to deal with. We'll continue to make the trip to do business with her.”

“The neighborhood seems a little sketchy and this Desert Industries has a gated parking lot. It is further back from the road so you have to watch more carefully to find it. They did have two rows of toys which was what we were looking for so that was great.”

“I love this little second hand store. The lady who runs it is so sweet and always helpful, she always smiles and listens. I think her name is Brandy. It is easy to find what I'm looking for and it's kept tidy. I definitely recommend you go check it out if you're a fan of thrift stores.”

“Good, well-organized branch of this popular thrift store. As well-organized as a clothing store! In June, I bought a pair of shorts here. I quickly found the right rack and found six pairs to try on. I easily found one that I liked and bought it quickly. Each fitting room had a lock on the inside. It would have helped to have a shelf in the fitting room; I had to put my wallet and phone on the floor. While the DI has many good branches, this is my wife's favorite thrift store, and she spends time here whenever she visits Salt Lake City!”

“Excellent thrift store. I’ve found All-Clad pans for $6.99 each! Plus lots of other goodies. Nice staff too. Clothing can be a little overpriced,So I only buy really high-end brands.”

“I don’t know why I don’t come here more often. The treasure hunt experience is amazing. Plus they are part of a great cause. This place has great deals and is a good place to kill time. They even have a free book exchange area inside. I will definitely be back. I highly recommend.”

“I love this place! Such a good selection every time I go (I got some Nike stuff this time that was in amazing condition!!). Great central location, and I can always find parking. Everyone was super helpful, too. 10/10 will be going here again. ❤️”

“I've been to a few Goodwill Outlet locations. This one was the cleanest I've been to. It had nice staff and the lines were shortThe place was busy. We got there midday and like all other locations, the carts were taken already. People were standing around (waiting for new bins, I assume) and some were digging through the bins. Bring your own bags is my adviceWe stayed about 45 mins, never saw a new bin come out so I assume they rotate every hour or more. They had more bins then I'm used to. The bins weren't as organized as other locations (housewares vs clothing vs shoes). They were all kinda intermixed. The place was pretty warm (temp was over 100 outside).”

“I love this place, so impressive. Just before, I was at another thrift store, one that is usually more respectable than the DI. But I walked in, smelled amazing, everything was clean and organized (COLOR CODED) not to mention the amazing prices. I loved the gems that I found here. Only coming back here! Amazing services!!!”

“This store is amazing! Love the great finds! I love seeing Michelle-I bring my Mom in -in her wheelchair and Michelle always greets us with a big smile, wave and often a hug. Her caring and kindness is an added bonus to a great time thrifting.”

“Nice thrift shop with lots inside. Some of the items seem a bit expensive for a second hand store but I've been able to snag some good deals, just have to look for them”

3.5 Good99 Reviews

“Nice layout BUT the prices are close to retail or even more than retail price on sale. You absolutely need a coupon or 30% off on Tuesdays for seniors Otherwise don’t bother! The houseware are really expensive and highly priced. The clothing is a little better but not great.”

“Just got off the phone with my mother & she told me how much she loves this store & all the employees she interacts with. My little brother is autistic & my parents depend on thrift stores as a way to get him out of the house & let him browse toys. A free activity, a way to have him physically out and about. He is nonverbal, very loud at times & he obviously has a routine that brings him comfort. My parents are older, my mother is much smaller than my brother, sometimes it’s hard to soothe him, sometimes he gets upset. But my mom just told me how many employees treat them inside the store, with compassion, with patience, with kindness. She loves it when they see them come in the store and one particular employee yells my moms name. I do not live in Utah anymore, but I am comforted to know there are kind open minded people out there. That my family is treated well by strangers. We have a strained relationship & I’m unable to be there but I always want them to have a good life. Thank you guys so much for giving my parents & my brother a safe place, something positive to look forward to almost everyday. ♥️”

“My husband brought our donations to the store today and he said he was very pleased with the respect he received while doing the donation process. We will definitely use Savers over our previous donation spot.”

“My Local Desert industries , is my favorite place to go. Shop for just about every thing you need and for a fraction of the price . Every one there is very very nice , I have met a few very nice people . But Tammy Anderson And Cute little Marissa are my favorites they go over and above .”

“The prices vary significantly from store to store. Some prices for the same item are inexpensive in one store and expensive in another, however, some prices are so high, that it is cheaper to buy in Walmart. Kids clothes and IKEA furniture are food examples of overpriced items at the Desert Industries.”

“I didn’t catch his name but shout out to the nice older gentleman that helped me unload my car this morning. He explained how Savers bought all the stuff and gave the proceeds to the Boys and Girls Club. He even opened my door for me. He was so sweet and just a pleasure :)”
