“I'm not really one to write reviews often but these guys definitely deserve one! my first experience with one of their employees was kind of unusual.. I was driving down highway 89 after just buying an older used trailer in that area. I started noticing a good amount of smoke coming from the passenger side wheel well of the trailer and pulled over. the tire looked fine but it was pretty obvious that the wheel bearing was shot. one of their employees was outside smoking and noticed what was going on as I was slowing down passing their shop to pull over and check it. he was nice enough to come over and offer some advice and gave me a few suggestions of how I could limp it home if I wanted to just get it off the road and work on it there. I pulled into the parking lot of their shop so he could pull the tire and help me with a little quick fix to get it home. The owner came out and realized they just so happened to have the bearings and some of the inner races that the bearing rides on just lying around the shop. out of the goodness of his heart his son offered to switch them out for only $50!! if I'd cover the cost of parts they had and run down the street to get the one other $8 part while he got started on it. all said and done I was back on the road in less than 2 hours since pulling over and was only out about 90 bucks! a few days later I assumed the other side should probably be replaced or serviced and called a local truck and trailer repair shop to get a quote, for the exact same repair I just had done it was just over $300! I know my experience technically might not be considered an actual job that the shop did, if i was im sure itd cost more than just that. But its rare to find a place with employees that would see a situation like that and care enough to come over and help turn a shitty situation into something so positive that proves theres still some good people out there!!! I don't think they do any general mechanic work but if you need any Driveline, differential or wheel bearings and such, this is the place!!!”

“I’ve bought a lot of cars in the 30+ years I’ve been driving, but working with Roberto at Summit Automotive was the single best experience I have ever had buying a car by a long shot! I would give him and this dealership 10 stars if I could!

I live in Colorado and had been keeping my eye out for a great price on a used BMW i3 for over a year. Summit put a high-mileage i3 up for sale at one of the lowest prices I had seen anywhere. I called to ask about it, and Roberto was incredibly helpful over the phone and answered all of my questions. He was very knowledgeable about the car and its background, and he patiently answered my plethora of questions.

I did more research and followed up with more questions a couple of days later. Roberto answered all of them, even the few that he had to look into and get back to me about. We did a video call and he walked me through the entire car. He was quick to point out all of the small cosmetic issues to make sure I was aware of them, and was very thorough showing me the entire car (he showed me the tread on each tire, as he knew I was going to have to drive the car 600 miles to get home). I also sent Roberto a link to a video that shows how to access a “secret menu” in the car to check the battery’s state of health, and he jumped right on checking it for me and showing me the value (and the battery was in great condition!). The small cover on the bumper covering the socket for the tow hook was also missing, and Roberto said he’d see if he could find it for me (and when he couldn’t find it, he ended up ordering me a replacement). He also took some followup photos and texted them to me after the call.

I would not have taken a chance on buying a plane ticket, flying to another city, purchasing a high-mileage car (especially an EV), and driving it 600 miles home if it weren’t for the great experience I had with Roberto. It was once I got there though that Roberto’s kindness and professionalism was on full display. The i3 is a quirky little car, especially the version with the Range Extender (REx) engine like the one I was buying. I spent several hours fiddling with the car. Roberto never pressured me and let me spend as much time with the car as I wanted.

When I was finally ready to take it for a drive, he let me take it to a fast charging station almost 10 miles away to make sure I the DCFC functionality on the car was working. Then when I couldn’t get the range extender engine to come on in emissions mode (most likely because it hadn’t been used for a while), he told me it was fine to drive the car another 30+ miles to force the engine to come on. It was a stressful afternoon for me (especially knowing I needed to get on the road to start driving back to Colorado since there was a storm coming in soon), but where most salespeople would have added to that stress, Roberto did everything he could to relieve it.

After I was fully convinced the car was in great shape and roadworthy enough to get me the 600 miles home across the high passes of I-70, Roberto had all of the paperwork ready and organized for me and got me on the road right away. He gave me copies of all the paperwork, put a temp plate in the back window, and even took the time to scrape off the tape from the sales materials in the front window before I took off. The dealership probably made a very minimal profit on this car (it really was a fantastic price), and yet Roberto invested several hours over the course of several days helping me have an amazing experience. Thank you, Roberto! You are a mensch among men!!”
