Highly recommend! We had such an awesome time on our two-seater side by side. Dave has everything dialed in very impressively from check-in to training to route finding. Then the fun begins. Beautiful trail through Casto Canyon and beyond. We almost had the place to ourselves. It's like some of the beauty of the Bryce area but much more intimate and on a super fun ride. Plus you can go at your own pace and stop when you wish. We hope to be back!

My wife and I rented a 2 person side by side. Once you get in the canyon probably did not go over 20mph and mostly much slower but this is a Real ATV ride, going over rocks, ruts and up inclines that you wonder each time you come to one, if you will make it thru, fantastic ride and the scenery is the most unique place we have been. Made the Grand Tetons look small.David does Everything to make your ride the best and he really knows the area. Don't miss this one..

Me and 3 of my friends wanted to rent some OHV's (2x ATV and 2x Dirt Bike), upon arrival the dirt bikes ended up being a bit to complicated but could fortunately be swapped out to 2 ATV's no problem. David explained very well how everything worked and what trail to take. On the way back we had an unfortunate incident resulting in one of the ATVs upside down about 6ft down from the trail. After some phone contact with David he eventually send out Tony to help us out, after a fair amount of efford we managed to get the ATV out on the trail and towed back. David was extremely reasonable when it came to the damages and was mostly just happy no one got seriously injured and we all ended up having a laugh about it.If you are in the area and like a bit of advanture then i reccomend this place, driving around in the canyon is awesome and as long as you watch out in the corners you will have an amazing experience.

My husband and i went for the 4 hour ATV ride and had a great experience the owner brought us to the trail and gave us very clear directions how to run the equipment the rules of the road and made sure that we had no further questions. I would definitely recommend him and book with him in the future.

We rented a 2 person side-by-side, well worth the money! David provided a very thorough orientation and a well marked trail map. The drive up to Peterson Point was spectacular with a range of landscapes. They are concerned for your safety and want you to enjoy their beautiful area.

Amazing experience, Dave was great in explaining everything to us, from directions to atv instructions. We felt very safe and welcome. He escorted us to the trailhead and instructed us where to go. It was very beautiful. The best thing is that the time you booked only starts once you start on the trail and stops after you arrive at the gas station (to clean and refule the OHV)

Dave provided an outstanding experience riding Unguided trails in the backcountry. He provides detailed maps and guidance for a ride that matched our skill and comfort. We are experienced riders and our ride was exhilarating, yet doable. His knowledge and professionalism was top notch. Our 4 hour/half day ride didn’t start until he completed all paperwork, instruction and brought us to the trailhead. So 4 solid hours of trail riding! Must do! We will be back!

My husband and I rented a UTV from American ATV, and it was an AWESOME experience from start to finish. Owners Dave and Tina are thorough and thoughtful with all steps in the process— from being clear about what you’re signing to a clear, thorough orientation to the vehicle and the trails. Dave guided us out to the trailhead and basically walked us through all the terrain we would encounter — making sure we could identify locations on the map he provided in relation to the area he was discussing. And your riding time starts from when he actually sends you off, not just a set time on the clock, so you feel comfortable asking questions without worrying about trail time. The BEAUTIFUL THING is that once we took off, we were by ourselves, free to explore at our leisure and choosing the paths we wanted to take. The views are GORGEOUS, and we had a picnic lunch up at Peterson Peak with the most amazing views as the backdrop. One of the agreement stipulations is needing to wash the vehicle before returning IF it gets excessively muddy. We did run into rain and flinging, hale-sized mud during our last 1/2 hour, so we used the recommended gas station to fill up and wash down. Why do customers have to clean it? One reason is that the mud dries quickly and forms a cement-like material. I’m guessing another reason is to discourage some folks from sound stupid stuff in mud! We did the full day so that we didn’t need to rush and were glad we did because we really enjoyed our leisurely lunch where we chatted with some locals about the area and their UTVs. So, as you can tell, we 100% recommend American ATV — for adventurous, competent drivers. This is not a guided, amusement park-ish experience. But if you’re looking to get away from the crowds, see some gorgeous sites, and have a legit off-road adventure, then American ATV is for you.

Our group had a lot of fun on the trails today. Dave and his wife were very helpful, he explained the trails very well and his map was great, we didn’t end up getting lost anywhere. Definitely glad we went with the full day rental, we had plenty of time to stop and enjoy all of the views. Would gladly come back again !

This is the only free range ATV service near Bryce! David and his team have been superb to work with. We wanted to do something with our baby and he recommended a store nearby to get her a helmet. The wife and I had an absolutely amazing time. Davids thorough walk through and trail guide was crucial for the trip through BLM trails. Lastly if you’re lucky enough to get his history lesson on the geography of the area you will be pleasantly surprised.

So my son has been itching to ride ATVs for the longest time. Due to his not having a license or costs, we just were not able to pull it off. He got to do it finally at scout camp, and has been wanting to go again now that he is of age and has a license. While here on vacation, American ATV Rentals fit our needs and the almost full day trip was quite the experience. Owners David and Tina were most professional and helpful with every step of our excursion. We had a lot of choices to make. First was what kind of vehicles were we going to use. They had the ATVs, 2 and 4-seaters, and some were meant for those over 200lbs which we all needed (slight extra charge for that). We also had to decide what length of "tour" we wanted. We had three drivers and four people, so we went with a two-seater and two ATVs all with the upgraded suspension for the weight. We then chose the 4 hour tour which for most should be the right amount of time for the 44 or so mile loop or back and forth from just about the midpoint. The course was explained and different points of interest and also points of reference to not get lost. I'm glad my wife was our guide on this trip! Next was the safety equipment. We were all provided with helmets and goggles all of which fit well and snug over glasses without any problems. They also provide gloves. All must be worn 100% of the time you're riding or else. They also will provide backpacks and bungee cords. They sell water if needed. We then went outside and got acquainted with our vehicles. How to start them, put in gear, brakes, and rules of the road. We were then on our way! David brought us to a point, gave a more detailed explanation of the course and what to look for. Only at the time we left did our "4-hour tour" time start. We were expected at the end to top off all gas tanks (high grade fuel only) and come back to the business. The trip along so many different views and geological points was awesome. And then almost right at the start I rolled my machine on the side. The gas tank cover came off and I was spilling fuel. Thankfully I wasn't seriously hurt and got up quickly to put it back on four wheels. It drove just fine and I didn't have a flat. I just had some brush burn and a small cut on my elbow. The other negative was just past the 3/4 mark. My son's ATV just stopped and would not move in gear. It revved up but would not engage in gear forward or backward. We ended up pulling out the tow strap on the two-seater and towed it in neutral the final few miles. I had to apologize to my kid for all the dust. You are allowed to stop anywhere for pictures and if you want a souvenir you can take it as you're not in the State park. We did not see any others on our whole route...just some cows. We finally made it to the gas station almost next door to the ATV business, topped off the tanks, and made it back. I was pleased as punch that the ATV I rolled made it back. My wife and I changed at the midpoint so I drove and eventually towed the broken ATV in the two seater, and my wife drove the rolled ATV. Once back (about 25 minutes late due to the issues) I explained our problems on the trip and David was understanding. I did have to pay a 20% depreciation cost for the damage I caused to the ATV. We weren't charged for the issue with the other ATV. This was within the contract we signed and waivers. It was less than I expected, and we just made it work. Overall, my whole family had a great time driving even with the issues we experienced. Some pointers I highly recommend: wear long sleeves, pants, and boots (not sneakers). You will get very dusty. Bring a lot of water and maybe snacks or sandwiches. Remember, however, time stopped does not extend your tour time. The sun beats down and you will get sunburned. There's very little shaded areas. We were told when we asked that the routes we took were classified as mostly beginner to some intermediate level driving. 25mph maximum based on Utah laws, but you're not doing that on these trails. My family

This was a wonderful experience! The company is great. They are both extremely friendly and helpful. The route was excellent. It took us through various types of terrain and scenery. Riding through the canyon was beautiful. I went with my daughter, my niece, and her boyfriend. My daughter, who is twenty, said it was the most fun that she ever had in her life. It was great! I highly recommend this company!

From the very start gathering information on the idea of ATV touring, David Walker sold me on renting only from he and his wife Tina. David patiently spent so much time with me on the phone giving me information, directions and advice to make our day truly fulfilling. I knew right away that David was a guy who really LOVES his work, wanting his customers to get the most out of their adventure. Why would I rent from anywhere else? He was accessible during the planning process always eager to share his knowledge of the best places to go but but also during the day when we needed to reach him. David and Tina were very accommodating with equipment as well, in addition to the normal helmets, gloves, goggles, straps, etc that you would expect; they also offered us backpacks and coolers so that we could travel with food and an array of clothes for the whole day. (Yes, when in Utah be prepared for all temps). The machines were new and well cared for. All in all a wonderful day.
