This is one of the worst Cafe Rio locations. Every time we’ve been the rice has been undercooked. Today the rice was crunchy and our tortillas were so over cook they crumbled. We went through the drive through. They asked us to pull forward and someone would bring it out. We waited for over 5 minutes and no one came out. When I went in no one had any idea what I was talking about. It was sitting on some random counter.Don’t waste your money. Go to a different location. Or the Costa Vida up the road is super consistent.

Even if you like Cafe Rio, DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. I generally like Cafe Rio, but I’ve been to this location three times in the last few months and the people working there did a horrible job each time. They’re not rude - they’re just really bad at everything else. For example, I went through the Drive Thru today and they a) got my order wrong (they put the wrong sauce on my burrito), b) did a very poor job making the food (the burrito wasn’t actually wrapped so everything fell out the bottom, and they only smothered half of it with sauce), and c) didn’t give me any utensils or napkins with my order.I’ll probably just start going to Costa Vida instead and see if they’re more competent. The food’s similar enough.

I’m normally a big fan of Cafe Rio at my home location in Rexburg (almost daily customer for the past 4 years), but after being consistently overcharged at the Cedar Hills location down here and management refusing to talk to me about it when I bring up the problem, I decided to try out the Pleasant Grove location, just to be overcharged and having to wait around for 18 minutes with only one other person in line.Check your bill before you pay. So tired of getting charged $1 for enchilada style (which I ever get) and $1 for large dressing when I get a small ($.50), combined with the slowest service ever and cold food due to it sitting for so long during transfer of stations.

Could service be any slower? They weren't busy and there were only 5 people in line. I decided to use the kiosk to save time. After waiting for over 20 minutes, it shows on the screen that the order is ready, I go there to ask for my food and they say that they are going to start working on it. After another 10 minutes the food is ready. 30 minutes to get fast food? This is just stupid.

This is a very new store in Pleasant Grove, Utah, and my first visit, although I've eaten at Cafe Rios in other places before. I had the Saturday special with 2 shrimp tacos at about 6:25 PM on 2/24/24. The shrimp were awful: dry, rubbery and tasteless--like they'd been sitting out for quite a while. I couldn't really tell if they were shrimp or not--they were that bad. The rice was also dry, with some unpleasant crunch, indicating to me that it was either not fresh, had been out in the air too long, or overcooked. Very unsatisfying, tasteless meal. I've had TV dinners that were a joy compared to this $13.00 waste of money! There really was no service to comment on--the people behind the counter necessarily have their backs to you. I feel badly for them--they're just assembly line workers and nothing more. We had to speak up loudly to ask a simple question. The order kiosks were confusing on some pages. You really weren't sure whether you were ordering the standard amount of rice, extra or no rice, and you had to give a response before it would advance to the next page. Needs to be re-thought, especially when trying to make a simple order. I counted 6 pages to go through. There really wasn't much in the way of atmosphere--just people standing around waiting silently for their orders, which pop up unannounced on a screen overhead. So we all just stood there, looking up the whole time. This whole place has a very no-nonsense order-and-get-out kind of industrial vibe, with only a few seats against the walls. I will not be going back!

This is a cute little place. Good food. Although meat portions seem a bit on the small side. They're also pretty stingy with cheese, even ordering and paying for extra.I've never seen it busy... Hope it doesn't close down!

This is the first Cafe Rio I've ever been to where I felt cheated out on the amount of food that we were given. They also didn't give us a receipt to fill out the survey on the bottom.

When I went, my tortilla was extremely soggy and gross and undercooked, and then my boyfriends tortilla was so hard he couldn't bite into it. Not good.

This was the best Café Rio I have ever had. The lady who made my nachos did an amazing job and the lady who checked me out was so nice!!

A good restaurant that gets your online order correct every time. Other locations have occasionally done my orders incorrectly, but this one nails it every
