I had foot problems that my doctor said was plantar fasciitis. After enduring the pain for a while I went into Modern Shoe. Our sales person was Will. He did a scan of my feet. Watched me walk. Asked me were the pain was and said he though it was a different tendon than the plantar tendon. He recommended a slightly larger shoe and an inexpensive insole. I literally walked out of the store in less pain. That day I walked more than I could before and at the end of the day, my pain had decreased instead of increased. It did not take much longer for the pain to go away all together. My doctor told me to expect 6 -10 months to get my foot to heal. Wearing the shoes Will sold me it healed in a week.My wife had a similar experience. We agree that if we have foot pain again, we'll go to modern shoe before we go to the doctor - that have been that helpful!

I always have difficulty finding shoes and I eventually am getting surgery on my feet. The staff there was knowledgeable and knew how to fit them and was attentive to making sure I was comfortable in them as well as planning my shoes for post surgery. Another thing that impressed me was I wanted to get a second pair to alternate them and instead of going along with it recommended I don't get another pair until after my surgery so I don't have 2 pairs of shoes I can't use in case my feet are different after. Will definitely come back to this place!!

amazing customer service and great atmosphere. loved the music they had playing. Wayne helped us out and he was great, definitely knows his stuff. i’ll definitely be coming back.

These guys are so patient and knowledgeable! I have very bad balance. They gave me excellent advice and found the right shoes and inserts so that I can walk and use my muscles in my legs like I should!

I stopped by today looking for a particular hiking shoe. I was greeted and engaged before I was halfway through the store. Very attentive staff. They didn't have the shoe I was looking for but the saleskid was more than helpful showing me what they did have that was comparable. We'll organized shoe store with a big selection.

We have been going to Modern Shoe for some years now. We liked the people who ran it and the service they gave. We liked the sales and discounts they gave from time to time. Now there is a new owner. He moved the store next door. He is nice and friendly when you talk to him, but we have noticed now for several months that his prices are skyhigh from what used to be even with his discount incentives to buy more. Either he is over extended with his remodel and trying to pay off the construction loan or he is just greedy and wants more $$ because I cannot understand how he thinks he can charge over $100 or more for slip on deck shoes. And this isn't for dressier shoes or athletic shoes. Hoka's are now closer to $200 than the $100 they used to be closer to. You have to really think about whether buying a deck type shoe for $100 - $129 is worth it or do you want to have $ to buy food, clothes, pay bills, etc. We don't think it is so we have decided to not buy there anymore. Sad, because we like their shoes. They just aren't worth the cost they are selling for in this economy when things are so tight and people have much more important priorities than buying one pair of simple causal shoes for well over $100 and athletic and dressier shoes closer to $200 or higher...especially when so many are cutting corners to just make it from month to month.

Jorge was incredible to work with. I have weird feet and he spent an hour with me to find the perfect work boot that fit me perfectly. An excellent store with excellent employees. Highly recommend

We were visiting Provo and were just walking down the street when we saw this shoe store. We went inside because we love shoes. There’s a great choice of good quality shoes here. We ended up buying three pairs that we really didn’t need in the first place. I don’t regret anything though. It’s not a cheap place but it’s a good option if you love nice shoes.
