Fraudulent company that should be shut down! It looks like there could easily be a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT! I called to pay off my balance and CLOSE the account because they will continuously charge you fees and charges you shouldn't owe. Then suddenly I continue to get statements with balances despite asking multiple times to pay off entire balance AND close account. Been dealing with same stuff for 6 months with zero accountability on their part.

I can not believe it! I have been trying to improve my credit. I made my last purchase from Maurices (Comenity Bank) in July of 2023 and paid off my balance with their online payment center. They then added a finance charge of $2 and have continued to charge late fees on that and I now have a $62 charge, which doesn’t even add up. I tried to get help and the first lady I spoke with tried to tell me the finance charge of $2 was for using my card. She said even if I have a $0 balance I would accrue a finance charge!! Do NOT use this company or their new company Bread Financial. This is not how people should run a business by ripping people off!!

These guys are a total scam. Report them to the your local institutions and the Better Business Bureau. They just charged me $82 for a $15 charge on an account that was closed prior to being moved to this bank. That old account had $0 balance and was closed. Now they come along 2 months later and put a remark on my credit report. I call them and they charge me extra for a service I never received on an account I never opened. Please stay far far away from these scumbags

Just got switched by dell to this bank for their financing. They never said they were sending anything, seeing that i dont recieve any physical mail and move around for work i dont have anything from them. Now i cant set up an online account and their representatives have done nothing but waste my time. Tell me they can help, spend 15minutrs verifying all my info and then telling me they cant help. Ill never buy dell again because of this switch

Absolutely worthless scumbags. There are not words in the English language strong enough to describe how pathetic these people are. Blatantly and willfully not processing payments for months on end just to accumulate interest, adding account assure charges to my statement despite never agreeing to them and straight up telling them I did not want account assure. Then, when you try to raise a concern over the phone they just hang up on you. I have called 12 times and been hung up on 12 times. I hate everyone involved in the scam of a business and wish the absolute worst in life for them. You people are criminals and thieves. Pathetic lowlife cockroaches!

Worst credit card company ever worst customer service ever I will never ever have a card with this company again. I filed a claim about disputed charges and they were supposed to get back to me and they waited 3 months to tell me they needed more information

Commenity bank will harass their clients until they are so confused they will make 3 payments in a month. When this is discovered, instead of crediting their client for their payments, they then assess late fees with exorbitant interest rates; which then add to and carry over each month. That will result in a huge amount owing by the end of the contract. My suggestion is that you NEVER do business with them.

Comenity provided the most inept, frustrating customer service experience of my life, wrongly withholding $250 from me for nearly six months as a result. They had the ability to handle it in a snap the whole time, but instead they strung me along for months without communication.

Had a cc with Ulta through Commenity Bank. Never received the card through the mail nor the statements. They claimed to have called me but never left voicemails. Tried making a payment in store they would not allow me to. So they charged me late penalties and interests.

Paid account in full, they still charge interest from previous statement until date paid. Even though they tell you if balance paid before due date. Complete ripoff, will never use their services again.

Had a terrible experience with this bank. They never sent me the bills through the mail even though they claimed they did. They also messed up with the date so I was forced to pay for extra interest, which was not my fault, and I didn't get any of my money back. They dont even deserve a star... definitely dont even consider this bank it's just bs.

I cancelled my overstock account because Commenity bank app was not taking payment’s so I called and same problem until until the day the payment was due, so I called again and one of the representative took the payment and said that she was including the late charge because processing on the east cost payments needed to be made before 3pm I was very upset, so I accepted the late charge, the following month same thing happened, I said to the representative that this was not okay, she suggested to me if I wanted to cancel my card because it looked like I can’t afford it, I was so mad that I said, yes go ahead and cancel my card! Now I’m very careful where I buy, when they try to offer my credit, I asked who they use, I will never do business with companies that play tricks and loyal customers:( I had used overstock for 18 years until they decided to changed and use Commenity capital bank! Never again …

I do not recommend Comenity Capital Bank. They are very unprofessional, hang up on customers, refuse to assist customers, will not work with you when their own online system is not working, charge fees when their sytem is not working which is pure fraud, immoral and greed. I will be contacting my lawyer over this.

Last fall I received a letter from Comenity informing me that the AAA VISA credit card I had from Bank of America would be taken over by Comenity as of Oct. 9, 2022. I wrote to Comenity and asked them NOT to send me a new card, as I had planned to close that card account with BoA when it expired on Dec., 2022. They sent me the card anyway. I began using the card anyway and paid my first statement balance in full in Nov. When my Dec. statement came, I paid the balance immediately. However, as my“Payment Due By” date approached and my payment had yet to be processed, I contacted the number on my card and was told that “it takes at least 10 days” for mailed payments to be recorded. Long story short, I stopped payment of the check and issued a new one. A few days after them putting my account in “Past Due” status, they processed my original check, which bounced, naturally because I stopped payment. In addition to a $25 late fee plus interest, they hit me with a returned check charge of another $25!!! After getting all that cleared (my 2nd check arrived and was applied), I set up automatic payment of my statement balance from my checking account. In February they withdrew the $$ from my account on the Payment Due By date. In March, they did not withdraw the $$ and my account went back into Past Due status. I reestablished the automatic payment criteria and called them. They agreed to remove the late fee and interest and, upon checking, told me that auto payment had not been set up. At this point, I have paid off the card and told them to CLOSE THE ACCOUNT IMMEDIATELY! I have cut up the card and mailed it back to them! They are the worse bank ever to deal with. It is no wonder they only get a 1.2 star rating on Google.
