“I honestly don't know what I would have done without the help and support of Ruff Haven. About 3 yrs ago My kids and I had lost nearly everything. Our home, furniture, my job, the last thing we wanted to do was get rid of our cats. These guys took them in for 3 months. Got them up today on shots and even got our young cat spayed. The staff here are amazing and very personable. They actually care and understand that animals are not just animals or pets. They are part of the family.Thank you so much Ruff Haven!”

“Parking was a bit of a challenge. That's the only setback. The center is incredible! I'm a genealogy nerd and have traced my lineage back to the 1500s. The work here helped to solidify that work and I was able to trace back even further. My wife is not into this stuff. Until she sat down and started working her family. She loved it! My 13 year was amazed and it created a new interest for him. VERY glad we went! I could spend days there. Loved it”

“I was invited by friends to host a meal for guests staying at the Ronald McDonald House. I must say it was an honor! We prepared dinner for an expected 75 guests and the kitchen and serving Instructions were very professional. Great kitchen! Well stocked with appliances, serving utensils etc. Some of the kindest people I have ever met. And such a nice building, with a lovely terrace and beautiful landscaping.”

“I don't know why I should write a 5 star review. It will only invite more people to shop here and why would I want that? This is the best thrift store I've ever shopped in except for maybe one in San Francisco that was on the top floor of an old church. Assistance League is super clean and the merchandise is very nice. The best part is the volunteers who work there. They are all very friendly and fun to talk with. Good luck and happy hunting.”

“This is a great resource for families and their children. They offer pre-K school, after school care, and summer school services. The administration staff are accessible, responsive, and helpful. I had one issue with a teacher but that was it. My son liked it for the most part. I highly recommend you check them out to see if what they offer fits your needs.”

“The neighborhood seems a little sketchy and this Desert Industries has a gated parking lot. It is further back from the road so you have to watch more carefully to find it. They did have two rows of toys which was what we were looking for so that was great.”

“If you need help fixing your bike, need to borrow a specialty tool, or need some good used parts this is the place. Why spend $100+ at a bike shop when you can come here and spend $10. Cycling doesn’t have to be an expensive hobby!”

“I am having an amazing experience at the Women’s Business Center of Utah! The support and resources they offer to female entrepreneurs are simply outstanding. From the moment that I accessed their website, I felt like I’d found the “holy grail” of business support. I have felt welcomed and encouraged. The classes are incredibly informative and helpful. (I am currently in a live-online class called Minding Your Own Business and am taking an online class called Dream Builders – I HIGHLY recommend both!) My mentor is Sarah Barstow, she is dedicated to and has a passion for empowering women in business. Sarah has truly helped me with inspired ideas and enthusiastic support. Because of WBCUtah, I have gained the confidence, and knowledge to take my venture to new heights. Praises to the Women's Business Center of Utah for making dreams come true!”

Celebrating 30 years in 2023, Salt Lake Mission is a non-profit church-based ministry to help our community transition out of poverty. They provide crisis intervention, counseling, and help folks with job placement. This year, they are holding the 8th annual "Mardi Bra" on March 8 to honor International Women's Day. They have been collecting feminine hygiene products, clothes, and toiletries for distribution to those in need.So if you're looking to make a difference in your community, please consider contributing to the Salt Lake Mission. “Update: I did speak with someone from the donation department and they were very kind and told me that they except most anything we want to bring because that is how they stay on business and that man was wrong. So I’ll change my rating from a one star for them but just beware that some people at the bins may not know and may act very rude.Horrible service at the bins. The man was accusing me of bringing trash because I had a small chip in a bowl. However the rest of the set was fine. He said I could ring a small lamp and small Christmas decor. He was yelling at me telling me he is sick of people bringing there trash. He took one of the knives from the knife set that was a complete set but wasn’t brand new and said this isn’t new we can’t take this and he broke the knife. I won’t be donating to them again”

“I can’t help but wonder what you’re doing now to ensure equitable access to your childcare center? Is it affordable, so it doesn’t end up as just another gentrified, classist and racist business- only obtainable by well off white families, who don’t mind exploiting women for childcare?Have you thought about opening up another childcare center and becoming a leader in the field by paying well above the minimum living wage? Maybe providing former clients with well paying jobs and childcare? Ensuring we receive a UBI?I’m not sure how you’re helping your clients long term if you’re not heavily focused on the barriers that keep us from being independent: Lack of living wages and lack of universal childcare!Could you learn anything from Freefrom, on how you can help DV survivors- as well as how to treat employees? So you can actually retain them long term and serve your clients better?”

“I have been there for about 5 in a half years they treat you like family I love the ymca especially mine (CFR) I love it there they feed you they have games for lil kids and big kids even teenagers they are amazing there and the staff at the ymca are like your older sister/brother or your ymca mom or dad they take care of you so well and if any parents reading this you should really put your kid at the ymca because it is amazing and awesome it is like my other home it is just amazing I love the ymca ❤️ Even when the pandemic was big they still treat us like 6 feet and they also teach us things like why parents can’t spend money on toys or candy and what loans are or if someone doesn’t know how to play they will teach them if we need help with something they will be there and the YMCA is for after School program, before school program, preschool, and summer camp and there is this thing call LIT(leader in training) and it is for older kids for 4th graders and up I think but it is still really fun I would recommended it to everyone that I know and even my cousins go there and they love it too THE YMCA IS AMAZING I LOVE THE YMCA❤️❤️❤️”

Beyond the breathtaking flora, this garden is a sanctuary for unity and growth. It offers educational programs, therapeutic experiences, and nourishing produce to those in need. It's a shining example of how a garden can be a catalyst for positive change. The incredible individuals who volunteer their time and energy here are the backbone of this organization.
