“The UPC has well trained people waiting to assist families in navigating school policies for IEP and 504 meetings, transition options, and more. They offer classes monthly on disability related classes that you can attend online or in person. Just get on the mailing list to get the links. Call them to find out who the consultant for your geographic location is. They work with districts, charter and any school. I've worked with two consultants in meetings and have loved both. I've had calls with others when mine were on vacation and I've never been disappointed with their knowledge and skill level.”

“Just got off the phone with my mother & she told me how much she loves this store & all the employees she interacts with. My little brother is autistic & my parents depend on thrift stores as a way to get him out of the house & let him browse toys. A free activity, a way to have him physically out and about. He is nonverbal, very loud at times & he obviously has a routine that brings him comfort. My parents are older, my mother is much smaller than my brother, sometimes it’s hard to soothe him, sometimes he gets upset. But my mom just told me how many employees treat them inside the store, with compassion, with patience, with kindness. She loves it when they see them come in the store and one particular employee yells my moms name. I do not live in Utah anymore, but I am comforted to know there are kind open minded people out there. That my family is treated well by strangers. We have a strained relationship & I’m unable to be there but I always want them to have a good life. Thank you guys so much for giving my parents & my brother a safe place, something positive to look forward to almost everyday. ♥️”

“I honestly don't know what I would have done without the help and support of Ruff Haven. About 3 yrs ago My kids and I had lost nearly everything. Our home, furniture, my job, the last thing we wanted to do was get rid of our cats. These guys took them in for 3 months. Got them up today on shots and even got our young cat spayed. The staff here are amazing and very personable. They actually care and understand that animals are not just animals or pets. They are part of the family.Thank you so much Ruff Haven!”

“I don't know why I should write a 5 star review. It will only invite more people to shop here and why would I want that? This is the best thrift store I've ever shopped in except for maybe one in San Francisco that was on the top floor of an old church. Assistance League is super clean and the merchandise is very nice. The best part is the volunteers who work there. They are all very friendly and fun to talk with. Good luck and happy hunting.”

“Parking was a bit of a challenge. That's the only setback. The center is incredible! I'm a genealogy nerd and have traced my lineage back to the 1500s. The work here helped to solidify that work and I was able to trace back even further. My wife is not into this stuff. Until she sat down and started working her family. She loved it! My 13 year was amazed and it created a new interest for him. VERY glad we went! I could spend days there. Loved it”

“I love working for Eye Care 4 Kids it’s easy to balance with my personal life. When you have the ability to unplug from work, you get a chance to recharge and unwind. Professionals who are always checking their email or answering phone calls on their personal time tend to experience burnout. When you have the chance to spend time with family and friends and pursue hobbies, you’ll feel ready to face a new workday.“If you love your work, if you enjoy it, you're already a success.” “You have to love what you do, to give your best.” “If you don't do what you love, you will never love what you do.”

“I am having an amazing experience at the Women’s Business Center of Utah! The support and resources they offer to female entrepreneurs are simply outstanding. From the moment that I accessed their website, I felt like I’d found the “holy grail” of business support. I have felt welcomed and encouraged. The classes are incredibly informative and helpful. (I am currently in a live-online class called Minding Your Own Business and am taking an online class called Dream Builders – I HIGHLY recommend both!) My mentor is Sarah Barstow, she is dedicated to and has a passion for empowering women in business. Sarah has truly helped me with inspired ideas and enthusiastic support.
