Motel 6 Salt Lake City - Downtown is located in the heart of downtown, a hella convenient location for walking around the fun town and accessing the interstate. The place offers rooms at a reasonable price. Some reviews describe the rooms as updated, large, very clean, comfortable, comfy, and even very high class or extravagant, with excellent staff who are accommodating and eager to help. The location on top of the hill is noted as perfect for viewing fireworks. However, the motel has a colorful crowd and is a popular place for those in less approved occupations. There is noted drug use and it is not generally safe for children, making it unsuitable for families. While some have felt safe and found it an enjoyable, even amazing place with a great atmosphere, past descriptions mention crowds of riffraff and scary individuals, though it is stated that everything has since cleaned up and become safer. The availability of refrigerators or microwaves can be inconsistent. It is seen as an entertaining place for adults, providing great memories for some guests.
Stayed here on July 4th and it was an excellent choice. The room was updated and large, very clean and comfortable. The location on top of the hill was perfect for firework viewing. Good choice of restaurants and a fun town to walk around. Would definitely recommend if in the area.

Always have a room at a reasonable price whenever I need one. Availability of refrigerators and/or microwaves is inconsistent. But the staff have always been more than accommodating to the best of their ability. I appreciate this motel and the people who frequent it.
