Meowser Pet Salon
3458 S W Temple St, Salt Lake CityMy Keiko is a 25 pound Ragdoll. He gets incredibly fluffy which I can tell gets him more lazy because he is so much heavier with so much fur. We don’t have too much trouble with mats because I brushed him quite frequently, but he still needs a good shave, bath, and nail trimming at least every six weeks. As I said, he is a big cat! And I have been to this pet salon at least three times maybe more… And each time he has come out looking perfect and while not happy….He’s not traumatized. They do a great job, the price is our decent. And the people are very friendly!

Diggity Dog Resort
245 Paramount Ave, Salt Lake CityYou know that your dog is happy going to daycare when he literally cannot wait to get out of the car. My dog, a border collie, goes to DD both for occasional daycare, and for overnight boarding as I travel for work. Not only do they feed him his raw diet (with sprinkles) and have him sleep with his favorite blanket and toy: they do it with compassion and a genuine love for Marley. Nothing is too much to ask of all the wonderful carers at Diggity. They know I'm a helicopter parent, so I often get videos and photos of Marley having the best time with his pals. He loves to play in their paddling pool, and is spoilt by everyone there. On a summers day his favorite thing is to be squirted by the hose. No one HAS to do this, however that's the love they show to the dogs that visit. I just adore everyone there. All the team know each dog by name, and what they like. They have the most clean and spacious premises. And when Marley comes in everyone yells "Marley", and makes him feel so loved. I wouldn't go anywhere else, I love them so much. Besides that, they are reasonably priced and open very accommodating hours. So, want a place that truely cares. Diggity Dog is that place.

She had a fairly simple issue that the other vet hadn’t been able to catch. Thanks to the hillside staff at their urgent care, my kitten is feeling better than she has in months!

Utah Pet Rehab & Acupuncture Center, LLC
2896 E 3300 S, Salt Lake CityI cannot say enough positive things about this wonderful place. We were referred by our vet for our 12-year-old corgi who was diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy, and the people there have truly been a godsend. The physical therapist, vets, & vet techs have done an incredible job helping my dog get stronger and have kept her as mobile as possible. They treat each animal like a member of their own family, and I know my dog is always in the best possible hands when I take her there. They are empathetic & supportive, which has meant so much as we learn to work with our dog's diagnosis, and they are more knowledgeable than any other veterinary professional that we've seen so far. Brickyard Animal Hospital
1213 E 3300 S, Salt Lake City3 months ago, we called Brickyard Animal hospital in crisis. Our dog had been diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma and needed her spleen removed immediately. Dr. Allen accommodated our schedule and saved her life. When she got home, I noticed that the staff had trimmed her nails. I don’t know why but that act of kindness brought my wife and I to tears. We didn’t ask for it. They didn’t charge us. And the gesture communicated so much.
The doctor let us know that we hadn’t saved her, only extended her life by 3 months. Maybe up to 6 if we were lucky. Today we let her go, 3 months almost to the day. And as much as I hate this, I have so much gratitude for these people who gave us 3 more months to grieve and to be with our pup. Thank you thank you so much. For your skill and your kindness and your genuine love. It showed through every step of the process.

Pet Sitting & Training

The Canine Mind
1538 E 3300 S, Salt Lake CityI’ve waited two weeks to post this review because I was too in awe of my dog’s progress with The Canine Mind. I enrolled my 1-year-old hound mix, Raina, in the two-week board and train program. And I’m telling you that this team is literally a group of doggie cognitive psychologists — and this is coming from a human cognitive psychologist. In two weeks, my dog received a level of training that I probably couldn’t have achieved in my lifetime (let alone two weeks). She is excellent off leash now, generally more responsive, and better at overall manners (no longer jumping on visitors in my house, for example). If I were to chat with younger me, I would have totally enrolled my first dog in this type of program. This foundation is essential for having a good quality of life with your dog. It still takes a lot of learning + work on the human side, but I’d say this program was absolutely worth every dollar. My dog is better in every aspect of behavior, despite maintaining the fundamental personality traits that make her who she is. THANK YOU!

Four Legged Scholars LLC
4050 S 2700 E, Salt Lake CityIt has been said that the most important thing in communication is to hear what isn't being said. While working with Joanne she taught me to observe the unspoken language of my dog. I have a 6-year-old male Yorkie who was marking in the house, leaping out of his kennel and biting whoever let him out, and not coming to me when called. Through the patient guidance and incredible knowledge of dog and human behavior Joanne helped me develop a strategy to improve his behaviors. We met weekly via live personalized online one-on-one sessions. Through these Joanne could observe my dog and our relationship and offer guidance to help improve his behaviors. My dog has learned quickly, and I am still using the lessons I learned from Joanne with him and look forward to emails with continued training tips.

FETCH Daycare and Overnight
2626 S 300 W, Salt Lake CityI worked at Fetch for nearly 8 years. Although we have gone our separate ways, I will always love and support them, so it makes me very sad to see completely false “reviews” being left on here, with random photos thrown in for shock value. I can assure anyone reading this that the nasty reviews have been written by someone who is NOT a client, and for some reason still has an agenda to try and ruin a business. It’s disappointing that disagreements lead people to the point of writing downright defamatory things online. The owner’s built this business from hard work and dedication to dogs. Not only were they owners, but they were actively involved in the business. They were there bright and early every day working, ensuring the dogs were properly cared for, as well as establishing a relationship with each dog and client. I’ve never known any other business owners who care about their business the way that they do, or any other owner who was genuinely a part of the team like they are. Anyone who truly knows them can attest to that. Fetch and it’s extremely experienced team are still to this day the ONLY people on the planet I would trust with my dogs, and I certainly wouldn’t be leaving my dogs there if there was any type of mistreatment. My dogs can be a handful, and it gives me so much peace of mind knowing I still have a place I can take them where I know they’ll be properly managed and cared for. The care of the dogs is the ultimate priority, and being that I worked there for 8 years, I can promise you that with all my heart. So it makes me particularly upset when it’s implied otherwise. I learned endless amounts of knowledge and expertise from the owners and my fellow coworkers, more than I’d ever learned at any facility I worked at before. Fetch is a wonderful place, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Merry Pets
2150 South 1300 East Suite 500, Salt Lake CityMerry and her crew are that rare blend of reliable, consistent and professional mixed with the heart of someone who will love and care for your pets as you do. Not everyone in the business of pets does it as an act of Service as well as a business, but Merry does. They have taken care of my two cats, one 20 years old and one 11 years old for 15 months now and allowed me to leave town for work regularly and lovingly cared for my cat that needed daily medication, varying dietary requirements and through several health challenges. I was able to leave knowing my sweet, fragile kitty would be taken care of well. They also bring in mail, packages, water plants, empty litter boxes and play with kitties. I had moved neighborhoods and needed good care. When I read Merry's story on the website, I was moved and I knew she was the one. Merry Pets greatly exceeded my expectations and provided the very best service and care. And Merry herself has the biggest heart. Highly recommend them if you want the very best, most attentive and caring team to care for your pet family members.

RubySnap Fresh Cookies
770 S 300 W, Salt Lake CityI got a dozen assorted cookies for my 5 y.o. kiddo, partner, and myself. We split the majority of the cookies into thirds so we could all try each one. However, we each had our ONE designated cookie that we didn’t have to share. ☺️
I don’t think there was a single cookie that didn’t receive some reaction equal to a standing ovation or at the very least, a clap. Somehow after a dozen cookies in a 2.5 day span, we all still wanted more. They’re SO soft and fluffy. The flavor combinations are incredible. You have some more traditional options (with a slight twist in some cases) and some combos that you would’ve never thought up that may have you skeptical, but then you eat it and BAM! The cookie punches you in the mouth.
Amy tastes like a triple chocolate cake (yes, cake, but it’s a cookie!).
Ellie was a soft, delicious dough and the cream cheese with the raspberry compote + raspberries was heavenly.
Louise was a very deliciously executed upgrade to an old school oatmeal pie but so. much. better. ?
Mia is what I think of when I think of a perfect sugar cookie (I am team SOFT sugar cookie, never ever crispy or tough to bite through for me) — simplistically delicious.
Penelope will get you if you’re a Reese’s/PB & chocolate person (?♀️)…that PB in the middle though. ?
Snickerdudette is one of those I was just a teensy iffy on, but instantly left me wanting more — horchata in a cookie form anyone?!
Virginia is the softest, but fluffiest and perfect balance of “spice” and sweet that all gingerbread/molasses cookies should aspire to.
Zoey may not be for everyone, but I LOVE lemon, especially when it’s combined with a berry. That being said, Zoey had me as soon as the smells hit my nose. The chia seeds were a surprisingly welcome touch. This will be a forever fave.
Audrey had an absolutely delicious combination that again, started with the smell. Cranberry, almond, and white chocolate in an almond dough?! My kiddo also really loved this one.
I had one (my ultimate fave, but I can’t find it on their site and don’t remember the name ??♀️) that was their peanut butter mixture sandwiched between 2 super duper soft chocolate cookies.
My partner had one also that I can’t find, but he explained it as a Tiramisu cookie, which can only be meant as a compliment.
The last one we had was definitely a special. It was a S’mores cookie. Chocolate cookie, brown butter caramel, big marshmallow that they somehow kept soft and squishy after slightly melting/softening it — soo good. I’d much rather have one of those camping (or anytime ever) than an actual s’more. ?
Last, but not least, the staff is INCREDIBLE. Michelle is who I’ve dealt with both visits of mine and she is a gem. There is phenomenal energy and vibes within the folks owning, running, baking, serving, and customer servicing it up! Clearly after my novel of a review, this runs within the cookies too.
P.S. A reason their cookies are so good is because they use REAL ingredients. You can go read ingredients on the back of a lot of random cookie boxes and not only not know what some of the ingredients are (or how to pronounce them), but how they even use those ingredients to make something that resembles/“tastes like” a cookie. The proof is in the pudding. I also believe since they’re local and smaller, more energy and love reflects itself in their work. ??
