Hillside Veterinary Hospital
7054 S 2300 E, Salt Lake CityI can’t say enough good things about this place and their staff!
I had a previous bad experience with a different vet.
Hillside staff actually properly diagnosed my kitten and gave her the proper treatment. They also took the time to answer all of my questions and validated my concerns about the other vet being wrong.
She had a fairly simple issue that the other vet hadn’t been able to catch. Thanks to the hillside staff at their urgent care, my kitten is feeling better than she has in months!

Utah Pet Rehab & Acupuncture Center, LLC
2896 E 3300 S, Salt Lake CityI cannot say enough positive things about this wonderful place. We were referred by our vet for our 12-year-old corgi who was diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy, and the people there have truly been a godsend. The physical therapist, vets, & vet techs have done an incredible job helping my dog get stronger and have kept her as mobile as possible. They treat each animal like a member of their own family, and I know my dog is always in the best possible hands when I take her there. They are empathetic & supportive, which has meant so much as we learn to work with our dog's diagnosis, and they are more knowledgeable than any other veterinary professional that we've seen so far. I really can't recommend them enough!

Brickyard Animal Hospital
1213 E 3300 S, Salt Lake City3 months ago, we called Brickyard Animal hospital in crisis. Our dog had been diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma and needed her spleen removed immediately. Dr. Allen accommodated our schedule and saved her life. When she got home, I noticed that the staff had trimmed her nails. I don’t know why but that act of kindness brought my wife and I to tears. We didn’t ask for it. They didn’t charge us. And the gesture communicated so much.
The doctor let us know that we hadn’t saved her, only extended her life by 3 months. Maybe up to 6 if we were lucky. Today we let her go, 3 months almost to the day. And as much as I hate this, I have so much gratitude for these people who gave us 3 more months to grieve and to be with our pup. Thank you thank you so much. For your skill and your kindness and your genuine love. It showed through every step of the process.

Pet Sitting & Training

The Canine Mind
1538 E 3300 S, Salt Lake CityI’ve waited two weeks to post this review because I was too in awe of my dog’s progress with The Canine Mind. I enrolled my 1-year-old hound mix, Raina, in the two-week board and train program. And I’m telling you that this team is literally a group of doggie cognitive psychologists — and this is coming from a human cognitive psychologist. In two weeks, my dog received a level of training that I probably couldn’t have achieved in my lifetime (let alone two weeks). She is excellent off leash now, generally more responsive, and better at overall manners (no longer jumping on visitors in my house, for example). If I were to chat with younger me, I would have totally enrolled my first dog in this type of program. This foundation is essential for having a good quality of life with your dog. It still takes a lot of learning + work on the human side, but I’d say this program was absolutely worth every dollar. My dog is better in every aspect of behavior, despite maintaining the fundamental personality traits that make her who she is. THANK YOU!

Innovative K9 Academy
1899 S Redwood Rd a3, Salt Lake City10/10 for Innovative K9 and their team! We have a new born, toddler, and Hans, our Greater Swiss Mountain dog weighing in around 120lbs. He was a good dog before K9 camp and he is a great dog now. They helped Hans with his manners in the home and now he will lay (and stay) on his bed during floor time or while my son sets up his train table. He has nearly 100% accuracy on off leash recall, and I can now walk him on leash which was a battle before K9 camp. 10/10 would recommend.

Four Legged Scholars LLC
4050 S 2700 E, Salt Lake CityIt has been said that the most important thing in communication is to hear what isn't being said. While working with Joanne she taught me to observe the unspoken language of my dog. I have a 6-year-old male Yorkie who was marking in the house, leaping out of his kennel and biting whoever let him out, and not coming to me when called. Through the patient guidance and incredible knowledge of dog and human behavior Joanne helped me develop a strategy to improve his behaviors. We met weekly via live personalized online one-on-one sessions. Through these Joanne could observe my dog and our relationship and offer guidance to help improve his behaviors. My dog has learned quickly, and I am still using the lessons I learned from Joanne with him and look forward to emails with continued training tips.

Aarf Pet Care
5956 S Stratler St, Salt Lake CityWe absolutely LOVE the Aarf House and have been taking our pups here for the past 4 years! We use daycare about 1-2 times a month and boarding about 4-6 weeks every year. We have two very different dogs, and they both thrive here. Our dog Louie is super outgoing and social, and has the best time playing all day. Every time we pick him up, he doesn’t even want to come home with us, he’d rather stay and keep having fun! Once we went on a 2 week vacation and had him boarded the entire time; we were so excited to see him and when we picked him up, he literally ran back inside aarf house haha. Our older dog Sophie isn’t as interested in playing, so we’re especially grateful that the staff take extra time to cuddle her and give her the one-on-one attention she needs. It means so much to us that they truly understand and care for each dog’s individual personality.
The team is amazing and I truly can't say enough good things. For example, they hand-feed our dogs if they’re being picky and refuse to eat. That level of care and patience is so appreciated. We also love that there are no kennels and the dogs can sleep wherever they feel most comfortable in the house. The boarding and daycare experience is fantastic, and we always feel completely at ease leaving our dogs here! Can't rave enough about how much our family loves the Aarf house and their staff!

It isn’t trying to be fancy, just fluffy, delicious French toast. The sourdough bread also top notch. (Comes buttered). The porridge was great, but comes with peanut butter mixed in. The avocado toast - they also kept simple, but really, really great, fresh sliced tomatoes and I had over easy eggs on top. Two types of hot sauce on the table. My husband loved his corned beef omelette and my friend loved the breakfast burrito, he called it gourmet! Two thumbs up, 5 stars for sure and I’m a very picky food gal.
