Hours: Ruff Haven Crisis Sheltering provides temporary pet sheltering for people experiencing a crisis or hardship, with a mission to keep pets with their people. It is not an animal shelter and does not accept lost or found animals or have animals for adoption. The service is described as an absolute godsend and the people as golden, helping during the hardest times when no one else could. They help a lot of people so they can care for their pets, ensuring owners do not lose their animals during medical, financial, or other rough times. This support provides great relief, allowing individuals to focus on their own health or work without worrying about their pet's food or stay, knowing they are safe and cared for. While there is immense gratitude for making it possible to keep pets, some challenges are noted. These include occasional frustrations with communication, such as not always knowing who one is speaking to, and instances where information about a pet's health during its stay was not fully explained upfront. Despite these bumps, the overall care provided means everything, and for that, people are truly thankful from the bottom of their heart. The organization also accepts donations of pet food, toys, and bedding to support their work.
