Hillside staff actually properly diagnosed my kitten and gave her the proper treatment. They also took the time to answer all of my questions and validated my concerns about the other vet being wrong.
She had a fairly simple issue that the other vet hadn’t been able to catch. Thanks to the hillside staff at their urgent care, my kitten is feeling better than she has in months!”

“Dr. Ponce and her team are not only experts in their field, but also compassionate and caring people.
They supported my husband and I through our senior girl, Lily's, heart murmur and hyperparathyroidism diagnoses without missing a beat. We always felt our girl was loved and cared for by the best! And we were lucky to have Dr. Ponce and her team at our side through the end.
Our girl finally passed at 14 years young after enjoying her golden years as a creek-splashing, tail-wagging hiker, camper, and cuddle monster. Thank you Dr. Ponce and everyone for everything. ?”
“3 months ago, we called Brickyard Animal hospital in crisis. Our dog had been diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma and needed her spleen removed immediately. Dr. Allen accommodated our schedule and saved her life. When she got home, I noticed that the staff had trimmed her nails. I don’t know why but that act of kindness brought my wife and I to tears. We didn’t ask for it. They didn’t charge us. And the gesture communicated so much.
The doctor let us know that we hadn’t saved her, only extended her life by 3 months. Maybe up to 6 if we were lucky. Today we let her go, 3 months almost to the day. And as much as I hate this, I have so much gratitude for these people who gave us 3 more months to grieve and to be with our pup. Thank you thank you so much. For your skill and your kindness and your genuine love. It showed through every step of the process.”

“Dr Brandy was amazing. My cat had a portosystemic shunt and we had to travel from Wyoming to get the surgery to repair it done. Brandy did wonderful at coordinating with my vet back home surgery preparation and helped explain everything to me in a way that prepared me and calmed me. My cat is doing well after the surgery and I am so thankful!”

“We started taking in feral and abandoned rabbits from out neighborhood. One of the first issues we ran into was the cost of spay/neutering services for them since they are considered "exotic". Brickyard was the first affordable rabbit vet I found in the Valley. They are also easy to get an appointment with. Places like Wasatch Exotics there was a month + weight for. That's not sustainable if you have multiple exotics or an emergency. We have had more than 10 rabbits have surgery with Doctor Allen and they've all been great. They have seen our buns for various issues and love it. The staff is so caring and kind. Love this place never going anywhere else if we can help it.”

We were referred by our vet for our 12-year-old corgi who was diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy, and the people there have truly been a godsend. The physical therapist, vets, & vet techs have done an incredible job helping my dog get stronger and have kept her as mobile as possible. They treat each animal like a member of their own family, and I know my dog is always in the best possible hands when I take her there. They are empathetic & supportive, which has meant so much as we learn to work with our dog's diagnosis, and they are more knowledgeable than any other veterinary professional that we've seen so far. She was wonderful in helping me with my cat, and spent time diagnose what could be going on and made sure we had a solid treatment plan before we were discharged. “Just took my cat for his first checkup in salt lake, as well as to get some help introducing my adult cat to another I would be moving in with. Lindsay was great over the phone as well as in person and very helpful. I was scared bringing him in as he can be pretty reactive and high anxiety. Dr. Bellman handled him very professionally and kept him calm throughout even outside of his cage. Would recommend this place to anyone.”
“I have to say, do not listen to any of the negative comments that are posted. I have an older cat named Yami who has recently been diagnosed with level 3 renal failure, possibly more.
The entire team at this clinic are such amazing people, as well as very kind-hearted and you can tell they truly care about our little fur babies. They call me to check up on how Yami is doing, and they even accommodate me to let me bring him in to make sure I am administering his sub q fluids properly.
I highly recommend this team for your pet's needs. It's been a very rough 10 days but they have been a tremendous help during this crappy time.”

The vet explained what was going on, gave me instructions, and we were on our way. If I ever need a vet again in Salt Lake City, this is where I am going!”
