“If you've never been to Smith & Edwards in West Jordan, it's worth a stop. They seem to have a little bit of everything—hunting gear, fishing supplies, tools, work clothes, snacks, and plenty of things you didn't know you needed until you saw them. The store has that old-school, locally owned feel that's getting hard to find these days. Easy place to spend more time (and money) than you planned.”
“Riverton Hardware is the best hardware store on the south end of Salt Lake Valley. If you're like me, you make at least one trip to a hardware store a week... and compared to Lowes, Homedepot, or True Value stores nearby, I have success 90% of the time I go RH. What does that mean? That means fewer trips to fix stuff.
Not only that, but everyone there is helpful. They will help you find the right nut or bolt, they will help you make a duplicate key, and returns are super easy.
Sadly, I just moved to Logan where I have to start all over and find a new hardware store. I sure miss Riverton Hardware. They are the best!”

I called looking for a specific light bulb that I was having trouble finding, and even though they didn’t have it in stock, they went above and beyond to help me. They took the time to look into it and even offered to help me order the bulb I needed. Both Gayla and Noah were incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful over the phone. “Wow! What great service! I’ve been in a few times looking at different things lately. All the ladies at the front desk have been super friendly and very helpful. My last visit was for the door handle for my door connecting my home and garage. The hardware wouldn’t open the door. I went in and purchased a new door handle . I needed help to get in installed. The sales woman went to the back asked Phil (manager ) if they had anyone that could do that for me . Phil was so kind to stop and install the handle for me . We have shopped at Tanner glass through the years. Always such great service!

I own a plumbing company and was waiting in line at Mountainland when I saw something that deserves to be called out. A counter employee named Ronny was helping an older couple — probably late 70s. From what I could tell, they normally work with a specific salesman who wasn’t in that day, so Ronny stepped in to take care of them.
That situation isn’t unusual in this industry. What was unusual was how she handled it.
She was patient, respectful, and genuinely attentive. No rushing them, no talking down to them. I overheard her tell them she’d personally reach out to their salesman to make sure they were getting the best pricing and that she’d follow up with them herself. That kind of ownership matters.
After I checked out and was heading to my truck, I saw her again — outside, smiling and joking with the same couple while hand-loading a large amount of pipe into their trailer. No complaining, no disappearing once the sale was done. Just doing the work and treating customers right.
As a business owner, this is exactly the type of employee you want representing your company. Management should know Ronny is making Mountainland look very good, and it didn’t go unnoticed.”
“Staff is extremely helpful, I am a professional handyman. All I have to do is bring in a broken part a hinge any part of a cabinet or woodworking tool and they can tell me how old it is whether they have a replacement or not, which they always do they have not let me down once in the several times I’ve come here for rare and exotic hinges. They sell all kinds of cabinet parts and accessories, tools, and commercial machines for the big Time companies great selection of hardware. The showroom is full of everything you can think of for cabinets. Wine racks , cabinet slide outs , hooks ,handles , and hardware they have it all.
Why waste your time at the big box store when a company can walk in the back room and get it for you :)”

“Pretty good prices good selection for feed. Unfortunately, last time I went, they ran out of the dog food ato normally get, so I had to get another brand. My only complaint are the carts. It would be nice to have a flatbed type cart that is waist high so I don’t have to bend and lift out to remove a 2-40 pound bags of food to put into my truck.”
“We went in to find supplies to fix things around the house also in the back of my mind knowing I needed to upgrade my washer and dryer.
So we wandered into the appliance section and were promptly greeted by Darren. When I say low pressure but above and beyond service, this is your guy! He had a chill vibe and didn’t pressure us and gave us the best recommendations based on my needs and budget. He did recommend the best products to match the two machines we bought. He was super friendly and very knowledgeable. He walked us through the department and went over sales on different products not just the machines and I will be going straight to him for cabinet upgrades in the next few months. Overall the store was clean and quiet which I guess for a hardware store is good”
“Alpha Omega Hardware & Glass ( FJP )...did an excellent removal and install of mirrors in two bathrooms for us. These are full size mirrors like 40 X 60 inches. Install crew were excellent, positive professionals. And we got all this excellent service and product for half the price of other companies. Very pleased customer.”

I needed a large quantity of Simpson brackets and they not only had them in stock, but had the best price in town and even loaded them in my truck for me.
