“The owner John is an awesome dude. I actually hadn't heard of this place until, I bought something off of palmettos website and this little shop popped up. I haven't meant anyone else yet but this guy is not only full of useful information, he isn't in your face about it like most gun fanatics are. Not only that I would recommend this shop, especially the owner, to any that are either brand new to the sport of firearms or someone to idly chat with as well as your very informed gun enthusiast. Very friendly and not judgemental at all. I will be purchasing from them again. the hours maybe a little odd, but give this place a shot. Very hospitable A+”

“If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. This was my first online purchase for a firearm and the process was beyond smooth. Communication was great and the rifle is absolutely beautiful. I cant argue with the price either. Thanks!!”
“One of the best gunsmith i’ve known. If you have any surplus guns or classic collection that needs to be repaired, this is the place to go. Thank you for keep practicing old school way!”
“I really like this shop and the guys who run it! They are always super helpful and friendly. Plus the staff are very knowledgeable and don’t make you feel uneducated for asking “dumb” questions. I picked up my whisper can the other day and the entire process was as pleasant as possible. If you like guns and supporting the second amendment spend your money here!”
“Called in about a mess up I made tonight regarding my Glock 45. Told me over the phone how to fix it and lo and behold I fixed it. Guy was great and potentially saved me a couple hundred bucks. Thank you!”
“Garrett Preece has built several rifles for me. All of them have been top notch and shoot like lasers. His work has been impeccable. I would recommend Preece Precision 100 times over for any gunsmithing needs you may have.”
“Great staff. They are very helpful. Instead of trying to sell me a hand gun, they recommend first to go and shoot different weapons to make sure that I would get the one that fits best for me. Thanks!”

“Firearms Pro is the premier location to purchase your firearms. The staff is excellent, specially Hope who is a customer service professional, her Boss Brian is the person to ask for if you can’t find a specific firearm, Brian will find it!!!”
“I've had a few guns worked on here. if i have a problem with my gun I cant do myself I go to them first. I have had nothing but quality work come from them. thank you guys.”
“Excellent customer service, goods, knowledge hub, strategic & tactical planner, Chris Turpin is a consumate pro and trusted advisor for all things in being prepared!”
“Wonderful people, a great store, a calm atmosphere and honest business. I had to wait for a ride and decided to just window shop in there and had a very good time speaking with Mike and his lady. Worth poking your nose in there to see what's there.”
“I really really loved coming to this specific Cal Ranch. I was told today that there won't be any more gun sales or tag sales here or at any other Cal Ranch? There were signs that basically said "No gun or tag sales, sorry for the inconvenience". Out of my 33 Firearms, 10+ came from these stores because I enjoyed the older gentleman who worked at the gun counter and the sweet lady at the Ogden locations gun counter. He was so sweet, kind & knowledgeable, as was she! I was also told that they, along with many others are now gone for good? What's going on here? I should also say that while there today, I did not see a single familiar face (but am fully aware that staff can change at ay time, for any reason). Maybe I'll drive across town tomorrow and see if this is the case at the Ogden location as well. Anyways... Always loved this store but sad to hear this information.”

“Darrin Kendall runs an awesome shop. Now that I work across the street I'll be in more. Edit, Just bought an awesome Kimber from Tom. Guy deserves a raise. Thanks again guys”
“I don’t know what it is, but every time I come to a sportsman’s warehouse, everybody here is super nice except for the people who work in guns.
I’m at the Ogden location off of Riverdale rd.
I walked up and I cracked a joke to the three employees standing there not helping anyone and I said “oh my gosh, I think this is the first time I’ve ever seen a Sportsmans warehouse without any customers at the counter”. I got dirty. Looks from all three employees.
So then I asked who has the most experience when it comes to reloading and they pointed to one guy I don’t know his name. I wish I got it and he said yeah sure depends on what you wanna do.
The real issue is, he was not very friendly at all actually kind of a jerk. On top of that I politely asked him to look up a reloader for me to see which of their stores might have in stock. He said yeah Midvale hasn’t stock I said cool. Could you call them and ask them to put her on hold for me and I’ll head over there right now?
His response was no you can call him yourself.
That is the third horrible response. I’ve received from employees at Sportsmans warehouse and this just drew a line in the sand for me. I’m done doing business with these guys and I’ll stick to going to Scheels.
I have never been treated so poorly at any gun shop I’ve ever walked into other than sportsman‘s warehouse.
The last issue I had was very, very similar about the employee was a lot ruder than this guy to the point where the manager ended up, calling me directly about the issue with the employee.
I don’t know if it’s in the employee handbook to just be as rude and cold as he possibly can be but if that’s what it is then give all these guys a raise”
“First time the other day, very friendly staff showed us around and explained the working of the location, will definitely be back to join and get the wife some good practice”
