The self-guided tour is easy to follow, and visitors can try their hand at the lasso, see live horses, and enjoy stunning mountain views. The scenic drive provides opportunities to see cool wildlife like bison, coyotes, and antelope. It is a great spot for families, with plenty of picnic tables, and is a great place to go for a picnic. Be aware that gnats on the entire island can be bothersome, potentially during seasonal visits. Access requires a park entry fee, but the ranch experience itself is free.

Love the history. Very interesting to see and visit each building. They even have live horses on property. It’s worth the stop when in the park.
