We absolutely love this place. Great service every time we have gone. Our Rottweiler got cancer and we were treated poorly at our normal veterinary clinic after 15 years we left and came here. So glad we did they are great! We take our Yorkie, king still and they are really good to him.

I have been going to VCA for years to see Dr. Maloof (who isn't there anymore unfortunately). Dr. Maloof was a very caring vet for my dog(s). Today I brought my dog in for a routine nail trim and the technician cut two of my dogs nails so short they are bleeding. No apology from the girl who did it, just excuses. I called the person 'in charge' when I got home and she doesn't want me to write this review but my dog has arthritis anyway, now she's really in pain. I realize sometimes nails get cut too short but two nails??? I will definitely find a different place to take my dog.

Dr Neville is great with my whole herd of Yorkies, I've never found a more caring vet and all his help is top notch. Best vet in salt lake.

We came to this VCA after researching and speaking to people we know about vets in the area. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful, and the veterinarians are also very kind and caring. I made an appointment for one of my dogs who I adopted a few months ago from a shelter in SLC. She has pretty severe separation anxiety and has been urinating in my basement on puppy pads any time I leave the house for work or anything-even just shoveling the front sidewalk. After this had been happening for awhile, I contacted a behaviorist and have been doing some training with my new dog. I decided to talk with a veterinarian to see what they could suggest might help. At the moment, we are trying out some meds to see if they may help with her anxiety. What impressed me the most at this VCA was the demeanor of the staff, who really seemed to care for each human and animal that walked in the door. This location is quite busy, but even so, I feel that my dog is being cared for and they are definitely doing what they can to help.

I have a very anxious and timid dog that I adopted from CAWS back in March and have struggled acclimating her to new people and new dogs. I brought her to VCA yesterday for a checkup and to update some of her vaccinations. Upon walking in this animal hospital, I was greeted by the kindest front desk person - I don't remember her name right now, but she had a gorgeous flower tattoo on her forearm. She was so sweet, patient, and kind, and made me feel so welcomed as we waited and walked through some paperwork. Dr. Neville met with us and was immediately so kind and gentle with my dog. He could tell upon entering the room that she was an anxious little doggie (just like her mom lol) and crouched down on her level and did her entire appointment while sitting on the floor. We got her vaccines updated, and just did a standard, routine checkup. Everything went so smoothly, and eventually at the end of the appointment my dog was able to feel comfortable enough to lay down next to Dr. Neville. Thank you so much to the team at this hospital for making us both feel so comfortable and welcomed. It can be difficult to have such an anxious pup and I haven't received this level of care for her at other facilities I've been to. It made me so emotional (in the best way!) to have her needs met upon walking in. Everyone was so gentle and patient with her. I look forward to coming back here and continuing to get her cared for her.

I don't understand what it is with this place & their inability to schedule any kind of urgent/semi-urgent appointment for care. For the record, I have 2 dogs. One who's 10 and the other who's a puppy, about 8 months old. Sirius (10) has had a double ear infection (like massive amounts of pus coming out of his ears!) & a cyst on his foot (severe limp, bleeding, pus). They expected me to wait a bloody month for each respective incident. Really? You want me to wait for my dog to get worse over the course of a month? I took him elsewhere the same day & next day respectively. And no, not the emergency vet. He needed antibiotics (duh) and again, they would have had him wait a month. Atrocious level of care. Now on to Nestor, the puppy. After he came home, I was worried because it seemed like he was having trouble breathing normally. He's a shih tzu & while they're teething, that's normal to an extent & they make a strange little noise. I knew something was wrong because of the way his belly way billowing. The wait? 6 weeks. Arguing & saying WTF got the wait time down to a week. He went to the emergency vet & was home that day after an IV, antibiotics & a Rx after full blood work & x rays. He was just a little puppy & they wouldn't take him. The emergency vet was about $800, which actually wasn't bad considering everything they did. Today, it's apparent Nestor has an eye infection and it seems he's hurt himself (cries out when no one is touching him.) This has gone on for a couple days but it wasn't clear anything was wrong until today. Called them. Maybe they can get him in Monday. If I wanted to try tomorrow I could start calling to see if anything was available, but no guarantee. I ended up calling my backup (non-emergenc) vet... yeah, he has an appt with them same day at 3:00. I really don't want to keep giving money to this place when getting in is this ridiculous. I got very spoiled with my amazing LA vet, yes, but I'm so tired of nonsense.

This practice is too busy over scheduling its clients to actually tend to their medical needs. We had seen this vet after moving to Taylorsville. I scheduled a nail trim for June1. I called the day before to explain that my dog had a wound on her face and needed to see the vet, not just a nail trim. They told me to call back the next day. I called the next day to tell them again that she had a wound on her face and needed to see the vet during her appointment. We went to our scheduled appointment, the vet was in the building. I was told they did not have time to look at her wound until 6 days later. THESE PEOPKE ARE TOO BUSY TO CARE FOR ANIMALS!

This is an amazing vet. I'm from out of town and my senior dachshund had some health issues... the vet got right down on the floor with him and took the time to check everything before making his recommendation! If I could give them 10 stars I would !

I wish I would've shopped around a little before I signed a year agreement. Dr Neville has been really great so far and I do feel like he has my dog's best interest at heart. My issue has been with the front desk. We've had two scheduling issues and I feel like the individuals who took my call could've been a little more professional. On our last visit as we were checking out, I asked about a follow up visit and was told it was already scheduled by the vet. I thought that was a little odd, but I don't know their system, so how would I know. About a week before the visit I realized I could look at the app and see the schedule. I looked and was surprised there was nothing. I called the office and explained I was headed out of town and I really needed to get in and was under the impression I would have an appt already scheduled. The gal was very cold and wasn't acting like she cared. At one point I was waiting for her to make a suggestion and she just sat there silently. We were just both listening to the other breathe. I felt like I was bothering her with the way she acted. I ended up having a family member take my dog in and she was unaware of my interaction. When I later spoke to her, she mentioned how unimpressed she was with a couple of the gals at the desk and felt they were a bit snotty towards her. Don't get me wrong, there is one gal from Ohio (wish I knew her name) and she is fantastic. The rest that I've dealt with, not so much. Like I said, maybe should've shopped around and gotten a feel for the office.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. My dog was attacked and his eye was bleeding. I called ahead of time to see if they would be able to get him in and she said as long as he wasn't critical that they could see him. When I got there, they were all ready to take care of him, they took him straight to the back despite other people being in the lobby. I was helped right away. I was expecting a large bill, but the exam fee and medications didn't end up costing an arm and a leg. The receptionists and everyone I encountered was so nice to me. I really appreciated the experience I had today.

We've had a great experience here with our 3 month pomsky puppy. He's been twice for his vaccinations and nail trim and everyone had been so kind, sweet to him and careful to explain everything and answer any questions we have. We enrolled in their puppy care club and feel is so worth it! It comes with unlimited visits plus a 24/7 chat with a vet tech. We used the chat option after his final round of shots because he was having difficulty walking from the soreness and they were able to provide some solutions for relief and also told us what to look for and how to know if he needed to go in. He ended up just fine and it was so nice to have that peace of mind. On top of that, the vet texted us the next day to check in and make sure he was doing better! Highly recommend this place for high quality and genuine care for your fur baby.

She was having trouble breathing so I called the vet they told me to bring her in as a walk in, so we get there and they ask us to wait I told them again she wasn't breathing right told me if she got worse they would take her back immediately so she starts really struggling and I went to the desk told the guy and he said I'll be with you in a min told him we didn't have a min went back to Kels who was holding Clo and she stopped breathing and fainted the tech that was standing right there disappeared so I grab her and start mouth to mouth and I can't get any air in her turned her over a alot of bloody froth came out I yelled that she was dying and another tech rushed her to the back, this all happened in the waiting room the tech came out said she was on Oxygen I asked her if she was still alive and she said yes , 2 min later the vet comes in and tells Kelsey who is alone at the moment that shes gone, that there was no heartbeat when she got back there so they didn't do anything. If they would have seen her when we got there she probably wouldn't have died at least not so badly.

We had a cat with an eye infection that wasn't getting better so we decided to bring her in. So glad we did, staff was great, the doctor was excellent and the our cat is all healed up. Reasonable pricing too. Couldn't be happier.

Dr Maloof is fantastic. In fact, all the vets there have been amazing. There's so attentive and follow up on our dog to make sure he's okay after he has come in. They're honest and very helpful. We'll never go anywhere else
