I honestly don't believe there is a better Veterinary clinic in the state. Awesome staff and I know Doc Rick has saved my dog more than once....

Dr whitty is amazing. He is gentle and kind but thorough. He doesn't over prescribe. You feel respected and we love the care all our animals receive.

Dr. Whitty and his staff are so kind and attentive to our pets’ needs. I trust them wholeheartedly to do what is in the best interest for our pets. I wish I could rate them higher!

Great Vets. Terrible GM. Sherry Whitty needs to go. So rude. My babies will never go back to that money-grubber.

The Lady owner has issues. Had some snide remarks that she thought I could not hear. Not with my fur babies. Never going here again.

I have been a customer of this vet clinic for five+ years and have always loved bringing my pets here. The vets, techs, and most of the staff are wonderful. I thought I had found my lifelong vet and have often referred people here. They have put many of my dogs down when it was time over the years and have always given them excellent care. I have nothing but praise for the wonderful staff I have encountered, until today. Three weeks ago, I brought my dog in for an incontinence issue, a checkup and shots. I dropped off a urine sample in the morning and had an appointment for her right after. I paid for everything at the appointment, as I have always done for the past five years. I expected to do the same today however, I had an issue when I came back to drop off another urine sample for my other dog and was told that they could not do the test until I paid. I had an appointment for her coming up the next week, and I was told to drop off the sample early so they could test it quickly. The front desk person who was assigned to me is someone I have observed to be very impersonal to some customers but nice to others. Every time I have had her, she has been impersonal and acted put off by me. On this occasion it was no different, she demanded payment immediately. I explained that I did not have my card with me and asked her to throw the sample away if they could not bill me all at once. I told her that I would just bring it to the appointment, as I did not expect to have to pay upfront. Next thing I know, the general manager is swooping in on me. She did not want to listen to a word I said and kept over-nicely sarcastically saying that she was trying to have a conversation with me. I interpreted this as "I will not listen to one word you say and you are wrong." Meanwhile, one of the other staff members knew what the GM was doing but could not say anything. I warn you - do not get on the GM's bad side or expect to be treated as a human, because she is a witch. Or at least she acted that way to me. She is not about long-term customers, she is only about the money right now. That is it. You always get your money from me, but it would be nice if you did not treat faithful customers like criminals. I would expect this treatment if I had just walked off the street and wanted to get a test done, but I had appointments coming up, and was no one new there. I would not want anyone else to experience this, and I can no longer recommend this vet clinic to anyone. Note: I have never not paid a bill at this vet clinic, and I have always paid top dollar. I have never said anything about the cost, even when I had a $3,000+ bill.

I would never be able to recommend this location. The GM Sherry is so foul that she ruins the experience and trust. Think super I know it all liberal that will talk above you to attempt to screw you out of money and make you feel like a criminal. Her behavior stating it is all about me does not contribute to honesty, fair pricing or most of all great care for your fur or feather family. Choose another vet. This is not the best choice.

Dr witty is the best vet in slc. Unfortunately ? the clinic has gone to hell. We have been with them for a very long time and now they have gone to a new pharmacy and want you to get your meds from them at 4 times the normal price. They wanted 130 dollars for the same medication we got at Costco for 35 dollars. They just tell you that's the way it is now. After paying them all that money over the years I believe we are going to have to change vets now. It's just too bad.

I am a very anxious Frenchie owner, dr whitty helped me figure out my pets heart arrhythmia and pointed me to a great cardiologist clinic. He also spayed and performed a stenotic Nare surgery to help my sweet girl breathe better . They are very attentive and always squeeze me in for emergency visits.

They take awesome care of my dog and cat. When I had to 'let go' of my 15 year old dog a few years ago, they did it with dignity and great care. I just love them.

Dr Whittey and his staff are just excellent. They care about the animals and owners and really pay attention to detail regarding medical care. I have taken my pets to Salt Lake Veterinary Services and Dr. Whittey since 2007, and I've never had a bad experience. Dr. Whittey has very high integrity and knows what he's doing.A few times over the years if I took a pet to another veterinarian for quick care because Dr Whittey was booked out a bit, I just wasn't as impressed with the detail and medical knowledge compared to what Dr. Whittey hasFor example, Dr. Whittey noticed that my cat had a heart murmur a couple years, but it wasn't serious yet. Last year in the meantime, I took my cat to another clinic when I needed emergency services. They said my cat did NOT have a heart murmur. Recently I took my cat for a regular checkup with Salt Lake Veterinary Services and Dr. Whittey again detected a heart problem. This time Dr Whittey was even more concerned and had an EKG and some lab testing. From there my cat had to get an echocardiogram, and the heart specialist reported that my cat’s upper left atrium was highly enlarged. He’s had to go on heart medication which has really helped. If Dr. Whittey had not caught this, it was serious enough that my cat could have died of heart failure any moment. My cat had been on heart medication, and now he is back to having energy and being ornery. Dr. Whittey has put together a really good plan, and I'm grateful for every day I have with my little guy now..
