My little doggie had a hurt foot. They were very courteous and caring. Very thoroughly performed the exam. I was looking for a new vet and I definitely found them.

I genuinely liked this clinic but after they misdiagnosed my dog's chicken allergy, I will not be returning. He's had chronic diarrhea since he was 6 months old. My dog lost 15 pounds and was extremely underweight and they did nothing but make the suggestion that he needs more probiotics in his diet. I took him to a new clinic and the veterinarian immediately suggested that chicken allergy was contributing to his weight loss and diarrhea. After an extremely strict food trial, and $800 in lab work, my pup has finally reached a healthy weight. I would be cautious of this place. Also despite being all smiles to clients, I've overheard the techs talk badly about pet owners. If any techs read this, please know that we can hear you through the door of the exam rooms.

Took our dog Charlie here for 4 years. All the doctors are excellent and really care. Charlie recently had to be put down after being hit by a car and left on the road. VCA sent a sweet card signed by the entire staff that made me cry. It's a small gesture but it meant a lot to us. If we ever get another dog, we will be coming back to VCA Taylorsville.

Unprofessional Care and Lack of Accountability at VCA Animal HospitalI recently took my pet for a dental cleaning at the VCA Animal Hospital Taylorsville, UT. Unfortunately, during the procedure, her upper incisor was damaged. While I understand accidents can happen, my experience with the clinic's response was deeply concerning.Lack of Explanation: When I called to inquire about the damage and how it could have occurred, I received a dismissive response implying it happened after my pet left their care. This lacked transparency and accountability.Unnecessary Pain Medication: Despite the vet initially suggesting observation, I was prescribed a month-long supply of pain medication at a significant cost. This felt excessive and potentially driven by profit rather than genuine need.Deteriorating Service: As a long-time customer (over 15 years), I've noticed a decline in service since the acquisition by Mars Corporation, also owners of Banfield, Blue Pearl and Linnaeus Vets. Long wait times, understaffing, and unprofessional staff conduct are now common occurrences.Zero Accountability: The most troubling aspect was the clinic's unwillingness to take responsibility for the incident and their apparent shift towards a profit-driven approach.Based on this experience, I cannot recommend VCA Animal hospital to others. I urge potential customers to consider alternative veterinary care providers who prioritize transparency, accountability, and pet well-being.

Fine service. However, they charge a $95 exam fee, just for getting a rabies shot. This, in addition to the actual cost of the shot. This was not communicated when we scheduled his appointment. Just a heads up.

Easy visit. Just introducing the new pup and making sure we didn't see any signs to be concerned.

Front desk staff is just atrocious. Rude, unorganized, and dismissive. The doctors and vet techs are fantastic, caring people. It's worth it but only for the back of house staff that really care about the animals.

I did not have a good experience here. My 15 Yr old dog had a number of issues going on with her. The doctor came in and spent about 7 mins with her and said, "bring her in tomorrow for x-rays and I will prescribe her some meds". No blood work was ordered, minimal exam on my dog was performed, and very little explanation or attention to details to what I explained. I didn't have a good feeling about my visit, so I went to a different vet for a second opinion. The second vet spent 45 mins with me, did a full examination of my dog that included trying different exercises, blood work, and x-rays. The second vet explained the doctor at VCA gave my dog a medication that was beginning to shut my dog's kidneys down and that the vet at VCA should've have done blood work before giving any medication to my senior dog. I'm glad I trusted my gut and got a second opinion. I will also say I don't mind spending money on my dog's health, VCA was double the price for a third of the care my dog received. Wouldn't recommend.

Very friendly and caring. They really care about our pets. I had to put my dog down last week after having him for 16 years. The Dr and staff were amazing ! They even sent me a sympathy card that they all signed. It brought me to tears. Thank you for all your kind words and the love you showed to my Rocky . Thank you !
