never have been billed for services and then billed for a Dr. separate!!!!!! it's also very frustrating that all the Dr did was acme in looked at a rash and said oh she's fine and we left and now that's charging us 700+. more frustrating that no one can speak English on customer service nore can they answer ur questions so u get bounced back and forth from 6 different people etc. just to end up having to drive all the way to the hospital to actually speak to someone! ur guys billing and communication system is HORRIBLE

We were discharged here a week ago when my 16 month old had respiratory issues. They weren’t pushy when they recommended an overnight stay and a day later it was the right thing to do because my daughter’s oxygen kept dropping below 90.The only gripe that I have was we wished in the beginning that we were kept up to date on what’s going on with her and the steps moving forward. I had to about threaten to leave until they started to speak in civilian terms. Very happy with results.Thank you for saving my daughter and keeping us from escalating to Primary Children’s Hospital. Big ups to the RTs, the RNs, and Dr. Duval.

I have been having stomach issues for almost eight months now. I came in (3-5-24) thinking they'd just send me home. Nope. I had to have my gallbladder removed. Nearly eight months of pain and numerous tests and many hospitals to be told I needed surgery the next day. Beyond grateful for the emergency room doctor and nurses.

I work for a different hospital. Sometimes I have to call this hospital to get information on my patients, as a continuation of care. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I have to call this facility, it's a fight. It seems to be some silly power play that really just comes across as immature. I get a lecture as to why this 44 bed hospital is just "too busy" to help me provide care for my patients. Which I reside over 40 just on my unit.. alone. While in the time that they lecture me, it would have taken less to look up what I was asking for initially. It's very disappointing that the staff here can't put aside their ego's to help with patient care.

I previously went to your hospital, to be honest I didn't have a good experience, then I received a call from the director of the ER and he apologized to me for what happened, I really appreciate that he took the time to talk to me. I can say that I am very satisfied with everything he explained to me.

Jen and the rest of the team in the ICU are amazing. They truly care about patients and are incredibly accommodating to family. They did an incredible job of making a bad situation bearable.

As far as small town hospitals go... this one is really good!! We were on our way home to Nevada when an emergency came about. I ended staying for almost a week. The day shift is out of this world amazing!!! Half of the night shift crew is good, other half are just plain mean!! The food, for hospital food is just WOW!!! The University of Utah is in charge of this hospital so that's why it's so good!! Oh ya... and Brittany is one of the most amazing nurses they have working on med/surg!!!

We refused the ambulance ride and their physician lied and said we had to. We already hit our $10k max out of pocket and got a surprise balance bill for over $2800. Robbery!

I’ve had nothing but great experiences here. One in particular that I will forever rave about. Is 12/28 with Dr Hakh. Thank you for being an “action” doctor. For seeing that my son was so much more than a “cold”. You were attentive, knowledgeable and listened to my concerns. Amongst the other nurses and staff who took care of us that night. Thank you all.

I recently visited the ER. The staff was excellent and met my needs as I waited to get my results. The staff was knowledgeable in my treatment plan and were friendly. It's the dreaded bill that I'm not looking forward to. The ER staff was fantastic! Thank you Erin for helping me when Bryan was caring for his other patients. Dr. Gold thank you as well:

I went to their ER in August of last year for food stuck in my esophagus and after denying an X-ray and an endoscope I'm being charged for the medications and IV insertion related to the endoscope I didn't get. On top of this despite the physician billing me for only 15 minutes, not being physically examined by the nurse or provider, not having any labs, not having any imaging, and not having any testing done the ER Dr decided to charge me for a level 4 visit. Mind you a level 4 visit costs $1,700 before coverage (and before the charges for things like medications or procedures.) Horrible billing department. I'm having to call my insurance repeatedly for help. Don't go here if you can make the choice.

James? Best worker there! Jamie? However, is not. The receptionist? Yeah! Came in to get a pregnancy test done, considering no urgent cares were open, planned parenthood wasn’t open, and the hospital was cheaper since i am young with broken left fingers, that caused financial issues. She started shaking her head and started mumbling when James (best worker, needs a raise) asked the doctor since he is so helpful, to see if I could get it done. She had a strong attitude and no care for her job or my situation. Attitude and criticism.

Dear Mountain West ManagementJust wanted to touch base. I have not yet heard back from the phone call attempt to Scott. I was hoping you can give me his email? I wanted to show both of you that we are citing a violation of patient rights directly from the Mountain West "Patient rights and responsibilities" page we were given. As I told you on the phone, I refused the ambulance ride and my decision was not honored by the physician. We wanted to take our own vehicle to the hospital and the events that followed verified this case was not treated on an emergency basis as the ambulance casually made its way to Primary Children's while not utilizing its sirens or lights. Our patient records show we made this same decision two months earlier denying the helicopter service when my wife's water broke and we were told they could not deliver the baby and tried to pressure us then. We successfully drove ourselves to another facility. The patient rights page states, "You have the right to: Refuse care, treatment or services in accordance with law and regulation and to leave the facility against advice of the physician."It also states we have the right to, "Select providers of goods and services to be received after discharge."The physician directly opposed our decision to leave the facility in the manner we chose and deny the ambulance service and drive ourselves. Further, the falsifications we were told by both the mountain west employee and the ambulance employee that this ambulance charge would be covered by Cigna was a lie.We view this as coercive tactics used to lure us into unnecessary financial obligations. Also, being in Tooele, there is no in net work ambulance service which puts all residents at risk of unfair charges of balance billing. We kindly ask that when Cigna completes their apeals process that your billing department accept any additional adjustments or payments made by Cigna and dismiss any outstanding balance on our account.
