“I am dating myself, but I remember when you had to go to parking lot sales to shop at Harbor Freight (1970s). I have a rule in life that if HF has it, you go there first for it. Predominately, their prices are the best and their quality is great (for most things). Glad to have one close by!”
“I always enjoy stopping by Milt's Ace Home Center because it still feels like the kind of hardware store where people actually know the products they're selling. Instead of wandering the aisles trying to decode tiny labels, someone usually asks if you need a hand and points you in the right direction. The store is clean, well organized, and packed with far more inventory than you'd expect at first glance. I also like that it carries a mix of everyday hardware, tools, outdoor supplies, and those random odds and ends you didn't realize you needed until you saw them. What I enjoy most is that shopping here never feels rushed. You can hear the familiar hum of the checkout area, smell fresh lumber and garden supplies depending on the season, and browse without feeling like you're in a giant warehouse. It's the kind of place where you walk in for a couple of screws and have to remind yourself you don't actually need another flashlight. Vernal is fortunate to have a locally owned store like this—good service never goes out of style.”
“We full time RV and just like to stop in various places. We had a couple things in mind to look for. Then we found the sales racks, and 3 jackets. One did not have a tag. LaRetta took the time to help look up the item, when it wasn't found decided on a fair price. We purchased that jacket (was cheaper, and more what i wanted than the other 2). Also, we happened to cross a diff employee outside when walking in and asked the propane refill prices, she not only knew and answered happily, but told us it was half off that day only, July 3. Great service great store!!”
