What a cool museum. A beautifully restored property, original to the WW2 era. All sorts of interesting artifacts and stories. Only $8 as of December 2023 makes this a steal if you take advantage of everything there is to do here.A truly unique place in history and well worth a stop!

Flew in with a small plane. Beautiful runways and spectacular area to fly. FBO was super friendly, helpful and loaned me a crew car over-night.

I was here getting new pictures for my restorative progress piece. Landon took us out and around for pictures and info.I've decided I'll be writing a book on it. The history, the progress, the decay. I'll also have all the prints available to purchase.

From Historic Wendover Airfield Museum
This airfield is the most original remaining World War II Army Air Forces training base in the country. Here is the place where both young and old alike can catch a vision of the 75 year-old history that today we may consider long past but still captures our imagination.
This historic site is rich in the sights, places and feelings of the 1940's era when the Army Air Forces were training heavy bombers here. Walking into one of the barracks, hangars or other buildings, you can almost see the WW II airmen taking part in there training and living here at this isolated yet busy airfield.
