I have been a member since October 1995 & your employee, Anette Martinez, went above & beyond, above & beyond when the insurance was avoiding paying me my reimbursement for my rental car. They were saying my Credit Union was holding the money they sent to me, they had no Tracking number & making excuses. Miss Martinez offered to speak to the individual from the insurance to try to get further info to check on your end. There was discussion back & forth & even three way call. This situation was created to keep making excuses not to pay. Miss Martinez kept me posted & then nothing...the insurance stopped communicating with me. This was sent on 9/21/23 for processing & finally it showed up in my account on 12/6. I was in process of getting the Utah Insurance Department to have them investigate when it came through. So because of Miss Martinez's kindness, concern & invested interest, she gave me hope because I had been dealing with this insurance since the accident on June 10 which took almost 7 months to get it all finalized. This young lady reminds me of how Jan used to take care of me & Miss Martinez deserves recognition for the excellent Customer Service I received through this difficult time. Thank you for allowing me to rave about such incredible assistance...

If you need to title your auto loan to a Trust to avoid Probate for your heirs, then you will need a different Credit Union than Chartway that is willing to do it with a Quitclaim Deed or other method:We do not understand why one Credit Union can do it and another one cannot.The story: Chartway Federal Credit Union had the best interest rate when we purchased our 2022 car through the car dealership. The problem is later when we needed to be below the $100,000 Utah limit in assets to avoid Probate for our heirs, Chartway is unable to transfer our title from our names to the Revocable Trust that includes our names in the Trust Title. This surprised us, because our other credit union MACU was able to transfer from our names to our Revocable Trust for our Motor Home by using a Quitclaim Deed with their Title Group helping us through the process. When we mentioned this to the Chartway West Jordan branch, she recommended we refinance at MACU. But with interest rates almost twice as high, I told her that would not be a good move.So later we were looking for a more knowledgeable person to help us at the Chartway Murray branch. While trying to contact that person by phone we were able to talk to a very knowledgeable Financial Planner who works at Chartway. He said that we would probably need to ask Chartway to do a Quitclaim Deed to change it to our Revocable Trust on the auto loan and that the person we were going to talk to at the Murray branch is very helpful with banking matters. The Chartway manager very diligently made phone calls and even contacted her manager on his day off to try to find a solution. But in the end it is very apparent that Chartway will not do the transfer to a Trust.We were able to move two of our three vehicles to the Trust with the help of the DMV for the older vehicle and MACU for the financed RV. That move will put us below the 100,000 dollar threshold for Utah without the cooperation from the Chartway organization.So I recommend that potential customers that have a Trust research where they get their auto or RV loans to see if they will work with funding your Trust while paying off the loan to protect your heirs. Also Chartway upper management may want long term business from clients who have Trusts to build their business.Contact information sent to Chartway as they requested.

Chartway has been one of the worst bank I have ever done business with. The interest rate is great but trying to speak to someone and get your stuff looked at not to be charged a collateral has been a nightmare. I have tried email, the website and calling but when I call they want me to resend it again through the those same outlets I have already tried and received confirmation about. I would not recommend this bank.Update: I appreciate the call I got from the manager but after going through the hurdles it took me going to my insurance company to FINALLY get the insurance declaration form sent. Ridiculous when I not only provided digital copies but had a physical copy as well. Even when sent via email and website multiple times it still wasn't enough but I'm grateful this is over and I did get my refund for the collateral back. I will not refinance anymore but will unfortunately not bank with them in the future when this loan is paid off. ? I do appreciated the bank for allowing me the loan at such a good interest rate in the first place though!

Paola made my experience very simple, quick and efficient. She even suggested a better plan than what I was looking for and made it all happen. I have been with the company and at the same branch for over 7 years and have always been a satisfied customer! My thanks to the West Jordan Branch!

I wasn't given a choice with my car loan and Chartway has been the WORST as far as trying to even speak to someone without driving to a location. The automated system is the worst design I've experienced and all but ONE of the representatives I've spoken to seemed irritable and annoyed that they had to talk to me. I'll never use Chartway again once I refinance.

Came in here to make a $300 deposit and they deposited into someone else account. I told them about the mistake they did and then they only deposited $200 into my account. I asked about the other $100 they said ''I dint do that $300". I told them to check the cameras and to check the statement they gave me from the other person and they dint bother. Now I have do a complaint to NCUA, and open a new account else where. Update: They contacted Me and gave me my money back. Thank you.

I’ve banked with the place since 1998 when it was Utah Central Credit Union and then Heritage West and now Chartway.. Since Chartway took over I’ve had nothing but problems with things that shouldn’t even be issues. I have transferred all money to a different bank and will no longer do business with them.

Posted hours online and on the door say they open at 8:30, yet some chick just sat behind the desk with the door locked tapping her nails against the desk like she was bored until almost 9:30. Either change your hours or do your job.

Horrible experience with the bank. Always getting locked out of my online banking and today after talking with an online banking specialist for 45 min. She advised me to call back at normal hours tomorrow to assist me. I guess her shift was over. So basically everything we just went over I now have to do again tomorrow and still have not accessed my online banking. I now have to go to an atm just to check my balance. Horrible customer service

If you get a loan here, don't take it. Don't trust in these people. A year ago I bought a car and got the loan at this bank, but they didn't give me all the information I needed or they hid it. Today I am paying an extra $ 2000 and they have not given me possible solutions.

Bad customer service. Manager didn't do anything to help my husband, he was the one who had to be after her. He put in a complaint. and the lady who called him back didn't help either, just made him call the manager back. So nothing got resolved.

I was waiting for more than 30 minutes in my car to make a deposit and nothing came out to say anything until it rings like 3 times and their attitude is bad they should consider changing employees !!!!

They make it impossible to get caught up. They will not roll a month to the back of loan or move due date. so hopefully god forbid you never have a financial situation arise....
