Pet Grooming

Four Paws Inn
504 Mekklesen Rd, BarreI am very amazed and satisfied with the care Athena has received. She is a high energy and has severe anxiety. She is very protective of me and her home space, so going there with drop offs and pick up’s help her social anxiety as well. Otherwise she is happy to go play with her new friends and the staff. She gets to use up some of energy. They have helped us with kenneling Athena for an emergency family trip to go to SC for a total of 9 days. We got back she was well taking care of and was happy. She felt safe and loved by the whole team. I highly recommend . We use them once a week , for the daycare program on Thursdays. She comes home happy and has used up some loving energy for sure! I get home after her long day, she begins to run up to me and has the zoomies, then lifts me up and goes under my legs and gets excited after I asked how her day was? She kisses me as if saying “Thanks for bringing me “!!!????? Thank you to the Team at Four Paws Inn!?

Pet Care

Heart of Vermont Vet: At-Home End-of-Life Care for Pets
652 Granger Rd, BarreThe kindness and guidance we received from Erika during our 15-year-old husky Desmond's end of life was truly outstanding. Erika did a 2-hour consultation with us and helped us understand the full scope of our options, letting us guide the process and supporting us in feeling confident during what was one of the most difficult periods of decision-making of our lives. She ultimately helped Desmond pass peacefully, outside and at home while we were with him. She treated him with the respect and dignity he deserved, and honored our bond with him to the very last moment. Thank you, Dr. Bruner, for helping him - and us. We whole-heartedly recommend her services to any pet owners in Central Vermont. Saying goodbye is impossibly difficult, but having the option to do so at home and ensure the pet's comfort is the ultimate gift.

Barre Animal Hospital
678 S Barre Rd, South BarreI've gone to Dr. Cihocki for decades. He truly cares about the dogs I've brought in. Addison's Disease, IBD, cancers, and more...he's been there for every journey. He's figured out the hard-to-diagnose, and I know he puts in long hours doing this. Thank you.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Two Loco Guys
136 N Main St, BarreSo when I checked out after ordering my meal I thought to myself $18! This had better be the best burrito bowl I've ever had. I was definitely not let down. It's delicious and enough for two servings. I'm here on a travel nurse assignment for the next few months and I think I might just end up living here! Friendly service and everything is fresh.

Lazy Lions Campground
281 Middle Rd, BarreVery nice, quiet campground (my preference). Mostly seasonal sites, but some for short term. Owner/Mgr very helpful with short notice arrival. Restrooms average, showers were warm, coin operated, but mats could use a cleaning.
