652 Granger Rd Suite 4, BarreI can't say enough good things aboout Erika and the team at Heart of Vermont. The staff member that answered the phone was gentle and thoughtful with their responses. Ensuring that we had all of the information we needed and that we did not feel rushed or pressured in giving over information or dealing with scheduling. The patience shown at a time when you're choking back tears is remarkable.
Erika is astounding, her gentle touch and calm demeanor is unbelievable at a time of grief. Erika made sure that every moment of the end of life care for our senior dog was peaceful and informative. At no point did we feel rushed and we were given ample time to say our goodbyes.
I can't thank the entire team enough for giving us a positive experience when dealing with one of the hardest decisions a person can ever make in their life.

Two Loco Guys
136 N Main St, BarreTwo Loco Guys is a decent option if you're looking for burritos, bowls, tacos, and other quick Mexican-inspired food.
The food itself isn't bad. Everything I've had has been fresh, filling, and prepared well. The burrito bowls are good, and there are plenty of toppings and customization options available.
That being said, I couldn't help but compare it to Chipotle throughout the experience. The concept feels very similar, and while the food is enjoyable, I personally felt like the portions were a little smaller for the price than what I would expect from comparable fast-casual restaurants.
The staff has always been friendly, and the service is quick, which makes it a convenient lunch or dinner option. Overall, it's a perfectly good spot if you're nearby and craving a burrito bowl, but it isn't necessarily a place I'd go out of my way to choose over other similar options.

Cornerstone Pub & Kitchen
47 N Main St, BarreCornerstone Pub & Kitchen is one of those places that manages to do everything well. Whether you're stopping in for cocktails, dinner, or happy hour, the entire experience feels polished, welcoming, and consistently enjoyable.
One thing I love is the bar seating area. It's a great spot to grab a drink, catch up with friends, or enjoy a meal without committing to a full table. The cocktails are excellent, and their happy hour is definitely worth taking advantage of.
The food is where Cornerstone really shines. The salads are fresh and flavorful, and the crispy Caesar salad is one of my favorites. Sometimes a Caesar salad can be forgettable, but this one absolutely isn't.
The steak was cooked beautifully, and the truffle pasta deserves its own recognition. The truffle flavor is rich without being overpowering, and it's one of those dishes that immediately makes you want another bite before you've even finished the first one.
The atmosphere is warm, the staff is friendly, and the food consistently delivers. Overall, Cornerstone Pub & Kitchen is an easy recommendation and one of the better dining experiences in the area.
