The money the shop goes to programs and events in the surrounding community. The selection of merchandise is constantly changing, always interesting, and always great prices. The shop is clean and bright, and the volunteers are cheerful and helpful. They are committed to keeping things out of the landfill, and to that end, they have a selection of free clothing and other items on the porch. Nifty thrifty is a vibrant part of the community.
This is a place that I will visit before the long trip to Rutland or Middlebury for shopping. Bring small bills because you don't have to spend a lot to get something nice.
