My cat is known for getting aggressive and the old vet would get really scared, which she would pick up on and then in turn would go crazy. Here, they were so calm and supportive. My cat only did one tiny hiss the whole time. They listened to her body language and respected her boundaries. It was like a complete 180 of what we experienced at our last vet. I was genuinely shocked that it went so well.”

“Unprecedented kindness and care for my rescue pit-mix 6 year old Banjo! Banjo has a hard history and is very afraid of someone he doesn’t know coming near him with anything in their hands like a stethoscope etc. But Dr Kate Connoll took the time on our first and introductory visit to let him get to know her, sitting on the floor with him, taking him for a walk and just gentle kindness altogether. He ended the visit by wagging at her and trying to sit on her lap! I was THRILLED! This is soooo important, because previously he had to be put to sleep for even a nail clipping! Which is not only expensive but not really good for him and very stressful for me as well! We are taking our time, Dr Kate is going slowly with multiple visits to get him his shots etc.and it’s working! I am beyond grateful! Before it felt like I had to “ delay care” until he was sedated and had everything done all at once. Now we can pop in for a routine checkup or something like an eye infection ( recently) so he can be treated as other dogs would be. It’s a MIRACLE! Thank you ARK! The whole vibe there is GREAT! We are so glad we found you!”

“Lifechanging. They did us a favor before we even stepped in the door: after moving to VT I had called to get my dog Kenta started as a new patient. He's reactive at the vet so we made a plan, but before our first visit I got a cancer diagnosis myself. Life turned upside down and since Kenta was fine we forgot about it until I was out of the woods. I called them about a year later and while they weren't taking new patients at that point they agreed to still see us, considering the circumstances, which was so kind. It's just gotten better from there. They are very accommodating to reactive dogs, working with you to find the best solution to keep your pet calm and comfortable. No sedatives or blanket has been required! The energy of everyone there is perfect -- calm and unfazed -- which has helped Kenta progress quickly. He's now taking treats directly from the vet and getting pets! Unheard of before. We're also seeing the same vet every time for consistency which has helped. Cannot recommend them enough, especially for anxious/reactive dogs.”
