The selection was incredibly well curated— accessible but eclectic and a wide array from elegant to bohemian.
The staff were absolute saints (thanks Nico and Cassie!), entertaining my children while I tried things, finding sizes, and giving feedback. My only complaint would be I loved it too much and purchased too much as a result! Fabulous find.”
“Liebling has all the go-to everyday luxury staples in a great atmosphere. The store is clean, cozy and clutter-free. Everything is curated for an elevated, minimal aesthetic and there are so many good staple pieces. All of my favorite denim is from Liebling, a must-shop if you're in Burlington!”

“A great spot to stop in and pick up some catamount gear, state stickers and even some local VT maple syrup store is usually pretty quiet and no one bothers you so take the time to walk through and definitely grab a few souvenirs! It’s also right on church street parking free on Sundays !”

“This Vermont Flannel Co shop recently opened in Church St Marketplace. It shares the store space with Vermont Teddy Bear. It’s very nicely designed and kept tidy. The store has a limited number of popular products like Flannel shirts, t-shirts, pants, jackets, and blankets.
There’s no fitting room at this store, which is a bummer. I still bought a flannel shirt, XS size. It was $89, prices are on higher end, but understandable for the quality of the product. The associate was very helpful with the checkout. He signed me up for a rewards account. I received a 10% discount coupon in my email towards my next purchase. I took the shirt back to hotel and tried it out. The XS fitted perfectly as I had anticipated. Happy to have purchased one of Vermont’s iconic product.”
“This is a really great store, excellent for UVT merchandise, apparels, accessories and other items. They also got a lot of gift and souvenir products. The store is big and clean. It is one of the better stores in Church St Marketplace for shopping.
I found some really cool magnets. Bought a couple from here. Prices were little bit higher than I expected. But staff were very friendly. Had a quick and easy checkout as well.”
“This was the first ever Patagonia store I had ever been in. It’s located in the Church Street Marketplace. The store is huge with clothing available for men, women and kids. There were tops, shorts, shirts, fleece, jackets, hats and a lot of winter gears. The store was a super clean and tidy. There was a nice sit down table in the middle of the store.
We found some nice UV proof beach shirts for our daughter. I also liked a t-shirt and a winter fleece, but the size didn’t fit me. So we bought the kid’s t-shoes from the store. As expected the prices were on the higher end, as it’s Patagonia. But the quality totally makes up for the price.
The staff assisted us with fitting rooms, size queries and checkout process. They were very friendly and helpful.”
“Come for the curation, not for prices.
Like others have said, the prices are not comparable to other cheap thrift stores that run on donations. There's vendors who then probably pay the actual store, so a couple of layers of middlemen who eat into the price.
Older gap t-shirts are like $50. You're paying for curation, not for the actual value of the item. My boyfriend wanted to throw in all of the vendors only have about a rack and a half for men.
That being said: the designer selection is GENEROUS, and gorgeous. I've only come in 2x, but it's the immediate place I go and where I find the most value.
They have high quality designer pieces at prices that compete against many different online stores, and they clearly have them sectioned off instead of intermingled with everything else.
I would not personally purchase non-designer items here for myself, but it's obvious everyone puts in a lot of effort and care into the store.”
“I live out of state and try to make at least two trips a year to get items for my kids. I try to come during sales but even without a sale the price is worth it for the quality. Pants I buy from other larger chain stores become see through and pill these last so I can feel good passing them along when my kids grow out of them. I find it runs true to size or a little on the bigger side which I don’t mind.”

“The staff was friendly and helpful without being overbearing. I enjoyed the brands they had like French Connection. However, some of the clothes even within the nice brands were of so-so quality. It would be nice to see them be more discerning of that in the future.”

“Props to the young woman who was working in the store today (4/12/2025). She knew exactly how to explain the right fit and picked out the right bras for me. She was so patient and helpful! The selection is gorgeous and has a ton of variety. The end of season sale meant I could get 2 bras for the same price that one of them was when it wasn’t half off. Nice to see Church St hopping today too, on a gray rainy day. The store was quite busy.”
