“They certainly have nearly everything one would want in a health food store while strongly maintaining that late-seventy's, organic, impoverished, alt-culture vibe. The BIG difference here is that the folks are really friendly and seem to be comfortable in their service to others regardless of whether the customer conforms to their standards or not. Very Nice Place.”

“Omg!! I loved this market. I found way too much, and it was kind of expensive, but it was a great pit stop to refill the cooler on our vacation. Found everything we needed for a charcuterie.”

“I love this little general store! It’s the quintessential location of a little New England town. The staff are so friendly. They have a deli, many groceries, and a whole hardware section in the back! Amazing staple visit when you go to Norwich. You can’t go without it!”

“Absolutely phenomenal spot, my favorite place to eat in the Upper Valley. The wait staff is super friendly and hospitable, the food is delicious, and the attached market is a fun place to explore and find things you won't find elsewhere. The all-you-can-eat hot pot is definitely the way to go. It's a great price for all you get with it, i.e. unlimited appetizers, meat, seafood, veggies, starch, AND dessert. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.”

“The store owner Raj has a very welcoming personality. He is glad to help the customers. While we were shopping there last month, a couple of customers almost left his store empty handed thinking the items they needed weren’t available. When they inquired regarding the food item they thought wasn’t available, Raj knew what they were shopping for. Turns out they were mispronouncing the food item and that’s why they were unable to find it. Raj turns up with the items they needed and kindly informed them of the correct Hindi name of the item. What superb customer service! We had a nice time chatting with him regarding his background, family, etc. Very affable gentleman.”

“Always a good time at the COOP! I love all the local and organic options often right from the farm stand. It’s pretty pricy though but it’s a local staple you should check out if you’re visiting the Upper Valley.”

“Wonderful farm. A must do for a CSA share! A ton of fresh veggies come with their service which is really fun to design weekly meals off vegetables I may otherwise not buy out right. CSA from here has improved variety and quality of homemade meals. The pick you own is wonderful. Basically fresh herbs weekly, as many cherry red tomatoes as you can eat and my most favorite time of year--fresh edamame! An attached market for other local selections of bread and local meats.”

“The Coop has everything that I could want and more. The staff is always incredibly helpful, will open a register if you need one, the flower and plant section is fabulous and so are the meat counter and the wide array of vegetables. ??”

“This coop is quite nice like all the others. It is a bit smaller but especially well kept and slightly less crowded in general. That said, I typically pass this location with my dogs while I am jogging and they are not permitted to enter, so I visit less frequently than the others.”

“Mike I say one thing about Hannaford's they have everything you need a daily the area for your produce and vegetables everything you could think of frozen food in a nice area and a pharmacist and stuff that you could buy for the home and not just that there's your favorite for most people some like beverages and it is not very crowded and the hospitality is great and cleaned and produce and everything is put up really nice so don't forget to come to Hannaford's plenty of parking good for handicap plenty of baskets and it is clean and tidy and not just that you'll meet the nicest people there in good hours and availability for all access and parking lot I got to say one thing it is a great place to go I love it and the prices are fantastic”

“Good selections for breakfast pastries and lunch, including soups. Good quality and convenience, at a price. But that's Woodstock. If you're passing through and stop, your exposure is limited. If you live in the area, you get used to it or travel to better afford what you need.”

“This is my favorite grocery store in West Leb. It has great fresh baked food, a friendly, well staffed meat section, and some great deals (with the club card). The parking is convenient, and it's in a well lit parking lot.”

“I am from the Midwest. We have Meijer. If the good people of VT or NH have the chance to visit a Meijer, I would highly recommend, as it would probably be somewhat of a heaven to you. Anyways, went to Hannaford’s twice and decided I can never go back—the combination of drab coloring and dismal produce was too much for my poor Meijer-lacking heart to handle. Tried out this Shaw’s and was pleasantly surprised. You walk in and see mounds of produce that—goody—looks like it didn’t just crawl out of the produce crypt. Granola selection, and selection in general A++. There was a dent in a giant bottle of water I bought today and the cashier literally Incredible Hulk undented it? Above and beyond lmao. Will return in the future and have decided this is the store for me while I’m stuck here. Thank you Shaw’s.”

“You get what you pay for here, quality food at a cheap price. Have to check yourself out, I'll wait in line longer. Did I mention the food was great and the price was cheap.”

“This is the only wholesale club in the Upper Valley and for at least a 50-mile radius. The nearest is another BJ's in Manchester, while Costcos are even further away, in the Burlington or Nashua areas. So it's a welcome retail option for the Upper Valley. Like other BJ's I've been to - and unlike, ahem, Costco - everything is neatly organized into well-labeled aisles. They're going to try to pack as many impulse purchases as possible along the main trafficked aisles, while burying everyday staples like produce, meats, baked goods, and drinks all the way in the back. On this note, I enjoy shopping at BJ's more than Costco because they have sizes (less than what's necessary to supply a small army for a nuclear winter) and varieties (more lower-fat portions of meat and meat patties) that I like. And if you shop at non-peak hours, everything is eerily empty here. Or blissfully empty, depending on your perspective - whether uncrowded aisles, no waits at registers, and plenty of parking spaces. Not bad at all - hence my bumping a typical 3-star chain-store review up to 4.”

“Recently had to have a prescription filled within a certain time frame and I also needed to change pharmacy's since my insurance was no longer going to cover this medication. Hannaford's staff was so friendly and realized the urgency of time limit we were in and went about and beyond to help out. I am not planning on switching all of our pharmacy needs to them. They cared! It was great service.”

“Love BJ’s . This location has a good selection on many things, it’s always clean, and its in a convenient location . My only complaint would be somethings are priced the same as other stores.( so not cheaper)”

“I think I wasn't the only one who was unaware that this wasn't a super Walmart. No fresh veggies, no meat section, no deli or fresh bread. Very limited freezer section. Just be aware. I think there is a Super Walmart fairly near by.”

“I have a love-hate relationship with Walmart. It provides access to affordable items. It's a little less expensive than the grocery store at times. I wish everything wasn't from Asia. I truly want to support Made in the USA. But we're really good at shooting ourselves on the foot. Local made is so much more than imports. I want to give the biggest complaint with the self-checkout system. When I use one, I feel I'm putting someone out of work. Most, if not all, stores have 10+ aisles with 1 or 2 cashiers. And a line at the self-checkouts. So people who are qualified for these jobs are out there, but no one is attracted to part-time, no benefit jobs. All in the name of saving money. This truly is a sad state.”
