Camp Skyland is a family-owned and operated seasonal campground located right on Lake Champlain in South Hero. It offers a friendly, relaxed, and very clean atmosphere. The campground features lakeside field camping for tents and small RVs, along with rustic cabins. The panoramic views of the lake and both the Green and Adirondack mountains are amazing. Its location is perfect for accessing the bicycle trail to Burlington and exploring Hero's Island. Guests appreciate the clean flush toilets and showers, as well as the helpful and easygoing owners. The private shale beach provides lake access for swimming, kayaking, and launching small boats. While the campsites are more open and not very private, many find them peaceful and safe, especially the sites right on the water. Some sites are on an angle, which can be a minor inconvenience. Overall, it is considered a unique, super location with a wonderful vibe for a Vermont stay.

Love this campground. The location, the views, the fresh air, the lake, and beach access make for a quaint camping retreat. With mountains in the background, and a calm lake up front, you don't need therapy, you need to come to Camp Skyland.

Beautiful and peaceful place. We had a perfect campsite right on the waterfront. Easy access to the causeway bike trail and to restaurants and shops in South Hero. Staff were pleasant, and the bathrooms were clean. We would certainly stay again.
