“I cannot recommend Mark and his team at Village Car Company enough for buying a fantastic and fair priced used car. I was recently in an accident and had a short-time frame to find a new car and I did a deep dive into researching car dealerships and what car I was looking for and was willing to go out of state for the quality and price I was looking for. I looked at Vermont forums on reddit and Front Porch Forum and I was looking for the most fair, decent, low-stress and quality car dealership. Village Car Company was always at the top of the list for Vermont dealerships.
I have had my fair share of car buying trauma and was very anxious about the whole process but Mark found me exactly what I was looking for and the price was very fair. I took the car to be looked at by my mechanic before purchasing and they confirmed the quality and Mark was more than happy to provide the Car Fax report. I have a lot of anxiety making a big purchase like a car and Mark was very grounding and didn't push me into buying anything I didn't want or tried to up-sell. Usually I would rather have my teeth pulled with pliers but my husband and I found the process was painless and dare I say almost enjoyable.
Mark even reached out to me later after the purchase to let me know that the previous owner had dropped off almost a new set of tires and tied it into the already sweet deal. The car is currently driving like a dream. “So I spoke with Steve G. about my leaking rear differential cover. He told me they have done several, but would need the part and some diff oil. I ordered the part, bought the oil and he worked me into the schedule.
Kyle first welded the fill port, then cut the original factory part off, re-finished the differential's surface, flushed the interior gears, welded the new cover on and painted it's surface...nice job and NO leaks!
This part is a real life-saver for my 2010 Tundra! With only 120K on the odometer, it should have a lot of service left! My local Toyota dealer's fix was to replace the entire axle housing at a substantial cost!

This gentleman is extremely knowledgable and helpful, and in my experience (having bought about 5 sets of tires from him over the years) he always has the customer's best interests at heart when he is helping you. He has been in the industry for decades, and he knows his stuff. I truly feel like you can depend upon what he says, and that is rare in today's world of retail business. In addition, the pricing offered here is always competitive, and the selection seems pretty endless--it appears that they can get almost any tire you might want. So, I would heartily recommend Kevin and Pete's Tire Barns!”
