Stratton Lodging is a very popular mountain ski resort in Vermont with a charming, cute village base. It offers a fun and varied skiing experience across its 670 acres, featuring over 90 trails, plenty of off-piste options, and lots of natural snow on the Sun Bowl side. Many find it to be one of the best mountains in the southern region. The resort has seen impressive expansion with new lifts and trails. The skiable terrain suits everyone, from beginners to more advanced skiers, and the mountain has nice runs. The ski school teachers are knowledgeable, patient, and create a supportive learning environment for first-timers. The village has a great location with a short walk to the lifts and is dog-friendly. It offers plenty of dining and shopping options, including places like The Fire Tower and a taco burrito spot, though some note the food quality is not as great as it once was. The overall check-in experience is great, and the staff is exceptionally nice, helpful, and efficient, from the welcome center to the parking garage. Accommodations, such as condos rented through private owners, can be very comfortable, clean, and updated with well-equipped kitchens. The resort can get busy, with long lines on weekends, but the staff manages crowds efficiently. The ski patrol team receives high praise for being kind, efficient, calm, courteous, and reassuring, especially in emergencies. However, some safety concerns have been raised regarding the children's ski group, where supervision of safe behavior on the slopes was found lacking. Despite this, Stratton remains a good mountain with a lot of fun to offer, even if some find the mountain itself somewhat forgettable compared to other resorts. It is a great destination for a ski trip with generally well-maintained trails and a pleasant village vibe.
We thoroughly enjoyed the mountain. In the past we've rented frm the mountain, but this time we rented through a private owner on AirBnB and what super pleasant change. The condo was cleaner, the furniture updated, the kicyhjen had all utentsil and glassware...super nice

Great event - 3 Blues groups, excellent brisket BBQ plate and ten five ounce pours from numerous local breweries - all for $41.50!!! A bargain! The lovely weather on a day that was forecast to be rainy was the bonus. Mountain did a great job of setting up the tents and keeping people moving.
