“As a keen reader, my number one spots are checking out bookstore on my travels. 'Bear Pond Books Store' had lots of levels, and sold lots of different items as well as books. Friendly staff, helpful directions to finding. The card section in this store is huge! I liked the horror book section and the classic reads. It was very busy when we visited - you can tell it's a popular store!”

“This is an amazing bookstore. What a wonderful selection of books. It reminded me of St Marks bookstore in NYC which is now defunct. This store is similar in that it offers a wide variety of thoughtful and intelligent progressive reading. Vermont is fortunate to have a store like this to encourage community and free thinking. If you are ever in the area this is a stop you must make. Support independent bookstores, they make us a better society!!”
