The physical and emotional toll of this disease is something words usually fail to capture. Amidst the sheer exhaustion of it all, I had one singular, vital goal left to accomplish: I needed to catch a fish. It was a final gift, a promise I made to my father to honor his memory one last time by casting a line into the Connecticut River. But cancer strips you of your energy. Rigging up a fishing line; a task that might seem simple to some, felt like an insurmountable mountain on this particular day. I was physically depleted, vulnerable, and completely overwhelmed. Enter Steve, Naomi, and Jamie: When I explained what I was trying to do, they didn’t just point me to an aisle. They didn’t treat me like a transaction. They stopped what they were doing, looked at me with profound, genuine empathy, and stepped in to be the hands I didn't have the strength to be that day. Steve, Naomi, and Jamie went entirely out of their way to meticulously help me rig up that line. They didn't rush. They treated my fragile promise to my father as if it were their own. Individuals who are willing to go completely out of their way to show pure, unadulterated humanity to a suffering stranger are exceptionally rare. You cannot train the intrinsic empathy and moral character that Steve, Naomi, and Jamie possess. A raise falls even under the level of acknowledgment they deserve. A printed certificate on a breakroom wall is not enough. This is a public call for Aubuchon Hardware to acknowledge Steve, Naomi, and Jamie at the highest corporate level and to give them a raise. They are the beating heart of your community relations, and in today's world, that is your most valuable asset. Overall, staff are helpful, and prices are reasonable and competitive. I haven’t had to return anything yet, so I'm unsure how their return service functions. Also they sell love chicks and ducks 🦆 some clothing and boots books and kids toys. Cool little store.”

“Love the store. But we purchased a washer/dryer tower combo. And had to order a separate longer dryer cord from an outside course as the one they send automatically wont work. They need to realize not all homes have plugs higher up. We live in a mobile home and the plug is near floor. There need to be 10 and 12 foot dryer cords to purchased in the store”
