The Food City Pharmacy in the Eastern Plaza in Newport, TN, consists of several staff, who are fairly polite and professional. However, there is one staff, Stephanie, who is the rudest pharmacy clerk I have encountered in my 58 years on this earth. She is rude, has a bad attitude, and behaves as if she has a huge chip on her shoulder. I don’t understand what she has to offer to this pharmacy that she is still employed there. It has now reached a point where I am willing to pay more for my prescription somewhere else, just so I don’t have to ever deal with her again. It is a shame that Food City is willing to sacrifice customers for the sake of one rude employee, when there are countless people, who are nice and polite, waiting for a job offer.

100% don't care about disabled people would let there own employees starve before letting them work with any accomodations. All I got to say McDonald's no better also. I've seen a lot of business that don't accommodate the disabled and thats against the law but I don't see any lawyers hitting me up yet. Got hurt at work and they will tell oh well we can't accommodate lift restrictions. Yep that's the world we live in.

It's unfortunate that you are forced to commit to a star rating for this business...I shop late at night to avoid lines.. my disability among other things causes great pain when standing for long periods of time...I was informed by the front end Mgr. (She was Sitting down) that they will no longer have cashier's available after a certain time at night... To which I replied... I do not want to ring up and bag my own groceries... I informed her... Although I am not required to reveal that I have a disability.. that I have a bad back... (I have had a spinal fusion for anyone who may try and simplify this by saying their back hurts too) This Manager was very Curt and along with the I couldn't care less look she had on her face... Her tone was very patronizing... I asked if they had a hand held scanner for the heavier items and she told me they did not and then quickly realized anyone would know that isn't true and back peddled to say " they don't work most of the time anyway"...Let me educate you Food City... You risk a complaint being filed against you for violating the "American Disability Act" costing your business a significant amount of money in fines and compensation... It would have taken little effort for this Manager to open a register or complete the transaction at Customer Service... It is called a "reasonable accommodation" in ADA terms...I told her and I intend to follow through... That I would be bringing this to United Healthcares attention in an effort to have your stores removed from the list of approved stores that accept "Healthy Benefits"....

I have a 5 lb maltipoo that I always carry...never put her down or in a cart..I frequent Food City at least 3 times each week..I have no one to watch her and she has anxiety if left alone..Too bad that people who don't take care of their pets properly make it hard for people who do...I was self checking out today and totally insulted and intimidated. Austin whom I have never seen before said I can't bring my dog in...and another guy told me I need to bag wine...I told him I intend to...I feel that I was harrassed and humilated..He went in to the big spill that corporate and law prohibits. You will never see me in this store again..I am insulted and totally humilated..These little smart a____ don't realize that customers pay their salaries..No way to treat a customer...I had wine that I hadn't bagged yet and one if the guy's said "ma'am you need to bag your wine..Excuse me...I felt like a criminal and targeted .This is not the last you will from me. I have never felt so insulted...for no reason...When he told me I have to put wine in a bag...I told him I'm cashing out and to give me a minute...Wow...unbelievable..In my life I've never been so disrespected. This is a prime example of unnecessary harrassment...So rude.

Car sustained $800 in damage from a cart in a wind storm hitting it. Promised they would make things right only to wait over a month for a RUDE, RUDE, RUDE woman named Marsal to say they would do nothing. Won’t supply me with video either. Lawyer has been contacted and as for me ever shopping at one of those stores again…NEVER!

I am not sure if it’s just a person who hates their job, customers, or people who choose to buy beer but I have to say the manager at food city on maynardville hwy Knoxville Tn has to be the rudest individual. I am in that store 2 or 3 times a week buying groceries sometimes on Saturday’s I may buy my husband beer and he always has a sarcastic remark about people buying beer. I am going to ask him why he dislikes his job so much. Maybe he should find another profession

The Coeburn Food City store is hot and when I say hot, I'm not talking about hot as in the best but as in hot (temperature wise)!! Stopped in yesterday to pick up a few groceries on my way home and immediately upon walking in, the heat hit me!! It was that way throughout the entire store, you shouldn't be sweating while shopping in a grocery store and the employees should not be burning up and sweating trying to do their job. Food City Corporate needs to adjust the temperature inside the store to a reasonable working temperature especially during the spring and summer months, yesterday it was close to 90 degrees outside and almost just as hot inside the store.

My wife was the floral manager at the albertville Alabama food city and she did a fabulous job but her immediate supervisor (Andrea) from Chattanooga Tennessee was a micromanager and did not know how to use her employees for their potential so my wife quit after 1 month.

HelloI went to the food city in elizabethton tn. Today I bought a 4lb pack of hamburger for $14 dollars . Well, it looked fine ,until I got home and broke it up . It was brown in the middle . They had packed the fresh around the block of hamburger on the outside and put the old brown meat in the center . I called the manager and let him know ..he was nice and told me to bring my receipt and they would exchange it or give me a refund ..but I shouldn’t even have to be running back to town and waste more gas ..because a employee tried to hide old brown meat in the center… I’ve never bought hamburger and it looked like that in my life and I sure wasn’t eating it . I never buy any meat from Walmart. I always get it at food city . But if I’m going to have to run back and forth to get something decent . Might as well not buy it at all ..
