We are repeat customers for a reason. We love our stay here. The host are super and always welcoming. The breakfast is always great with fresh ingredients and homemade jellies. They are close to restaurants and the Barter theater where we always book a show. Their accommodations are clean and the home is lovely. We will come back again and recommend this b&b.
Nearby activities: Restaurant and theater
Safety: Feel safe

We only stayed one night but Joan was very accommodating. You can tell this was a fine Victorian home, full of wonderful antiques. But the best part was definitely the Breakfast! It was absolutely delicious and Joan is a wonderful hostess. Definitely 5 ?

We stayed for a birthday hiking getaway and had a wonderful time. A beautiful Victorian home with great accomodations (rooms and vegetarian diet). We'll definitely be booking again in the futureSafety: Felt very safe, each room locks and the home itselfWalkability: In a great area to walk around town but not too busyFood & drinks: We had a complimentary breakfast catered to our diet from Joan herself. Fresh local berry pancakes, egg, sausage and bacon. Left veryyy full and satisfied

My friend and I stayed at Joan's lovely bnb last weekend and had a fantastic experience! She kindly accommodated our late arrival, gave us helpful directions to Asheville (our destination) and prepared the most delicious breakfast. Other reviewers are exactly right - her scones are incredible. I highly recommend this immaculate bnb to anyone looking to stay in the Virginia Highlands. Thanks to our host for the fantastic stay!

Had a lovely stay at this B&B over Labor Day weekend. We made a last minute reservation just a few days before the weekend and got the last room available. Enjoyed the location and the breakfast. Clean rooms, updated bathroom, great hosts.

Shavers B&B in Abingdon is phenomenal. Joan and Mike are wonderful. They were very accommodating to both my wife and I.Joan's breakfast is the stuff of legends. We had a fruit tray, sausage, bacon, scones, toast eggs and homemade waffles. We were offered both coffee and juice. Our whole stay (2 nights) refreshments were kept stocked beside our rooms. Coffee was offered early in the morning and then offered again with breakfast. The rooms are breathtaking to say the least. The have modern comfort yet hint at the antiquity that is found all over the chraming town of Abingdon.I would highly recommend anyone to stay at shavers.
