Founders Park is a beautiful and well-kept public space along the Potomac River, perfect for relaxing or enjoying a picnic on a blanket. Visitors can appreciate stunning views while walking around the historic area of Alexandria. The park features an off-leash dog area, making it dog-friendly for those whose pets are comfortable roaming without a leash. It also offers opportunities for recreational activities, including a volleyball court for friendly matches. The park has a nice walkway along the shoreline, ideal for leisurely strolls to watch boats and planes. Parking is free on Sundays, but limited to two hours from Monday to Saturday. Founders Park is a great spot to unwind, whether alone or with family and friends.
Nice park and views of Potomac. First time in Old Town!

My go to for relaxing in the grass, enjoying fresh air and beautiful river scenery. My heart is always filled because of all the cultures represented. We're all out here peacefully enjoying the same thing. Then I walk to the Torpedo Factory to take in the latest artwork.
