Huntley Meadows Park is a very nice and gorgeous place to enjoy nature. It features beautifully maintained and very clean hiking and walking trails, including a lovely boardwalk along the water. The park offers unbeatable opportunities to encounter plentiful wildlife like birds, turtles, herons, river otters, Canada geese, reptiles, flowers, and fungus in different seasons. It is an excellent and quiet place for those interested in biology, with a great and informative nature center. The park is very well-maintained with clean restrooms. It is a great spot for children, who need adult supervision on the boardwalk. Visitors should bring binoculars for bird watching, but note that no dogs are allowed on the boardwalk. The small parking lot can be overwhelmed in spring and fall, but the park is well worth the visit.
Very nice park with hiking/walking trails. Very clean. Helpful staff. Lovely boardwalk along the water with plenty to keep the children's attention.
