Planet Fitness is overall OK for the price and location. The gym is clean and the equipment is well spaced out, with a considerable amount available. The environment is non-judgmental and the staff are lovely, pleasant, accommodating, excellent, and always friendly. However, the location is not in the best area and the facility is small, which can feel uncomfortable in areas like the stretching and dumbbell spaces. A significant drawback is the change in hours; it used to be a 24-hour gym but now closes early on weekends and by 11 on weekdays. Some equipment is aging and the black card equipment is often broken. Maintenance issues include mold on ductwork, a locked hands-free entrance door, missing paper towels, doors that need cleaning, and a missing locker door in the lobby. Overall, everything needs a good wash down, giving an ick feeling common to route 1 establishments. Despite these flaws, many members truly enjoy this location, finding it convenient and well-kept, with excellent hydro massage offerings.
Planet Fitness has the gym equipment you need to target different muscle groups for an efficient full-body workout. The staff was friendly and the gym was very clean.

This is the best Planet Fitness in the Alexandria area! I have visited other locations in the area several times and the sacramento location is the friendliest and cleanest gym. The equipment is up to date, always works and well maintained. You will have the best gym experience here!
