“Just wanted to drop a quick message to rave about our experience with Hollin Hall Animal Hospital, since we moved to Fort Hunt in 2021.Since we started using them, we haven't taken our furry friend anywhere else. They've been incredibly accommodating and so informative throughout our visits. They really go above and beyond to make sure our 75lbs drama queen feels comfortable and well-cared for. It's amazing how they've managed to gain his trust over time!We've tried other vets in Alexandria, but nothing compares to our time at Hollin Hall. Our pup is like a totally different dog during vet appointments now. It's such a relief to see him less stressed and more relaxed.If you're in need of a fantastic veterinary clinic, we can't recommend Hollin Hall enough. The care they provide is top-notch, and we're truly grateful for their expertise and kindness.”

Magesto is a very timid cat, and their protocol of waiting in the car until the room and doctor is ready helps tremendously. I feel we are well taken care of, never felt rushed. “For the past 20+ years, we've only brought our cats to VCA Beacon Hill for all of their needs. Everyone here has been exceptional, from the doctors to the technicians, and even the front desk staff. We're truly thankful to have had a place we felt confident in that our animals were getting the best care they could throughout their lives. Unfortunately, just this past month we lost our third and final cat in the household. She had some serious health difficulties in the past couple years, but I don't think we would have gotten to spend more quality years with her without the support and expertise from the people at this facility. “Dr. L. Gomez is thorough, knowledgeable, and compassionate. She patiently answered all of my zillion questions. I took my dog to Fort Hunt Animal Hospital after her limp continued to get worse. Dr. Gomez took her time explaining everything to me and kept me updated throughout the day while she sedated my dog to do tests. When I went to pick up my dog LaLa, Dr. Gomez reviewed all the x-rays and information from the exam and prepared a thorough discharge packet. I trust her with my dogs life and am confident that my dog is getting the best care.”

“Dr. Trosclair is a wonderful vet and very good with my cat Luigi. She is easy to talk to and happy to answer any questions you may have. Now that Luigi is considered a senior cat, I really like having the opportunity to take him to a cat-centric veterinary clinic. It is especially cute to see there cat "co-worker" Mike on the job! ?”

“Clean, friendly, knowledgeable. Recently moved and had to find a new vet, found this one by going down the list and calling around. Very easy to make an appointment over the phone, woman who answered was super kind and easy to talk to. On arrival, I was immediately greeted and checked in then escorted to the exam room. Highly recommend and definitely will be returning”

She was very professional, informative and patient. She was so helpful when my friend called that my friend made an appointment to have his kitty spayed. His experience was great.”

Dr. Yungk is a devoted, compassionate, and committed professional who always provides excellent care. I highly value her recommendation and expertise. My cats appreciate that El Paw has a separate entrance devoted to cats. Despite living more than 30 minutes away from Alexandria, I make the trip to El Paw. So worth it!”

“The reviews here prevented me from taking my cats here. I want to be very clear about the kindness, professionalism and care that my sick cat received here. Dr. Vyfhuis is the real deal. He’s kind and clearly cares about your animal and you. He is the best vet I have met after 8 years in this area.I met at least 4 staff members who were fantastic, caring and kind as well.I called them on a Friday because my cat was very sick and our usual vet was not able to see him. I was hesitant to take him here and was debating if I should take him to a 24 hr hospital instead. The cat was having breathing issues and after hanging up, I believe it was Dr. V that called me to offer other local options, because he was worried knowing how serious the issue could be-not urging me to come to him, simply to let me know that if my cat was having breathing issues, it was probably very serious. I called a local urgent care that he recommended and was put on a wait list. I called my vet again to stress the seriousness of the situation, no openings. When I called PPEAH back, they offered to see my cat right away.I should mention this cat was very old and frail and we suspected he was nearing the end -and that morning, had taken a turn for the worse. I hoped he’d be okay, but knew in my heart he wasn’t. My cat was the priority that day for Dr. V and his team, but not to our usual vet. When we had to make the decision to say goodbye to our sweet kitty, we felt well informed about our options, and the entire team at PPEAH treated our cat -and us humans- with dignity and respect.Thank you for being there for us, for your expertise, knowledge and kindness and for being real. You couldn’t ask for more in a health care provider for your family, feline, canine or otherwise!”

“Most efficient vet I've ever been to. Little to no wait times, easy to make appointments, and very kind staff! Moved and hour away and still come here for all my pet's concerns.”

“Always nice to my pup and they do well despite how busy things can get. It can get busy here because it is serving a large area of dog owners without any other real close PetSmart around. The people here work well with that. There are options for programs to cover vaccines but don’t get confused because these programs are not actual pet insurance. Still great services for checkups and vaccines. Just make sure you know that going in that getting insurance is another thing. All in all it’s a good experience here.”

I called them 5 minutes before they closed with a question about a tick and they stayed late to help remove it. On a separate occasion, they helped my pup feel better when he had a skin infection.”
