I had an abysmal experience using Generation Tux for my nephew's black tie wedding. Suit arrived laughably too large and the quality was garbage, even for a rental tux. I cancelled the order, got a refund, and walked immediately over to Anthony's Tuxedo.

Unlike Gen Tux, Anthony's has actual clothing items to try on in store. Ed took my meaurements, gave me two sizes to try on based on that, and guided me on which size looked best. I don't think I'll personally need it, but Ed also mentioned he works with a tailor nearby to get minor alterations done to pants if need be.

Anthony's Tuxedo saved me A LOT of frustration and headache. Ed saved the day.”

The whole team worked together and coordinated for weeks to help me pull off a secret grand reveal for my mom and future mother in law and they did this with no expectation of an additional sale (although I did end up buying some accessories). The store is welcoming, elegant and fairly priced. They have a wide selection of amazing dresses, the staff is knowledgeable and incredibly patient with both you as the bride and your guests. The tulle was delicate and hard to work with and they still were able to make it fit in all the right places and cinched the tulle around the waist perfectly to keep it from puffing. The bustle was also a life saver because it had rained the morning of my wedding to the train was very heavy to walk around with after getting soaked. Overall, they were super lovely and really happy with the dress.”

“Mae was wonderful to work with on my suit alteration. I bought a linen suit online and it unfortunately was a bit big on me. I found Fashion Center Alterations on google and thought why not give it a go! I'm headed to California for a wedding, so I needed something to be done quickly.

Upon entering, Mae was very open and welcoming to me! She was able to quickly figure out where I needed alterations just by a glance. I gave her my suit and pants to be ready by May 28th, but she got it done over a week and a half earlier. The speed and precision was astounding and the final product was even better. I've never had a suit fit me as well as this one, and it looks great!

Aside from that, she was the sweetest person ever. My wife and her conversed about being small business owners and she felt like family. Thank you again Tita Mae, we'll be back again soon :)”

“I’m so happy that I found my dress at Sage bridal! They were recommended by a friend (as well as Reddit). After visiting another bridal dress boutique, I ended up finding my dress at Sage Bridal. I went in wanting one style, but with the help of the Sage team Christen (sp?), I came out with a Lillian West dress which I never dreamed of wearing because I thought it would be out of my budget. The cost of the dress, small alterations and bustle together ended up being within reason and within my budget! The try-on dress fit like a glove, but was a little long so she recommended to order a petite size and wearing platform heels to avoid the extra cost of hemming. It worked like a charm and I got so many compliments on the dress!
Sage Bridal is a gem. They were responsive, kind, honest and efficient. Scheduling appointments was easy (granted I tried to schedule appointments well in advance and to have it at least 2 weeks before the wedding which they graciously accommodated). The boutique was personalized and so sweet. Thank you for being such a pleasure to work with and helping me feel so beautiful on my special day!”

“The team at Anna's Bridal is great! and it is the only store with dresses from Rosa Clara in the area. As a Spaniard, I really wanted a dress made by a Spanish designer and I couldn't wait for my first appointment day to come. From the moment I walked into my first appointment, AJ had dresses in the front of every rack that were similar to the ones I submitted in the form, and I was also allowed to look at every rack to see if there was another dress I liked. They have a beautiful collection of Rosa Clara dresses and other brands. They have more elegant and higher quality gowns than other bridal stores I visited in the DMV area. AJ took the time to carefully pin every dress I tried on so that I could get a better idea of how the dress would look in my size. AJ was also very respectful of my privacy and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. My first appointment took longer than an hour and AJ stayed a bit after closing time so I could try on the dresses. I ended up finding my wedding dress that day!! Because my appointment was only a couple of months before the wedding, alterations started pretty quickly and working with AJ and Ms Jenny was wonderful. We had to adjust the waist, bring the back up, and make sleeves for the dress, and Ms Jenny did such a wonderful job with the alterations. I am very happy with how my dress turned out and I highly recommend Anna's Bridal!!”

“Exceptional Service from Jennifer - Feedback on Return Policy

I wanted to take a moment to share my recent experience at Anthropologie, particularly highlighting the outstanding service I received from Jennifer, located in Georgetown.

After a disappointing experience at the Bethesda and Fairfax locations, where staff refused to assist me with returning a lilac taper candle set of 2 without a receipt, I was feeling quite frustrated. Despite explaining that I had purchased the item from the Georgetown location just a week prior and requesting that they call for my receipt number, I was met with resistance and no resolution.

However, when I returned to the Georgetown store, Jennifer went above and beyond to help me. She not only located my receipt but also confirmed that the other locations had the capability to retrieve receipt numbers from their store. While she mentioned it would take some extra time, it was reassuring to know that a solution was possible.

Jennifer's exceptional customer service made a significant difference in my experience. She was friendly, patient, and truly exemplified what excellent customer care should be. I genuinely appreciate her efforts and will remember the positive interactions I had with her - I think it would add value to Anthropologie if all staff was trained by Jennifer.

In addition to recognizing Jennifer's exemplary service, I would like to suggest that Anthropologie consider updating its return policy. A 30 day return window for customers without receipts would be more accommodating, especially when it's clear that the product has not been used. Additionally, implementing a system for customers to select receipt emails or texts upon purchase, particularly for transactions involving gift cards, would be a helpful improvement. This would prevent situations like mine, where my gift card was discarded after use.

“I visited the store on 12/8/25 to place a birthday order for balloons. Javonna B. assisted me with my order and also addressed my general inquiries. She was extremely courteous, professional and knowledgeable. I truly appreciated the exceptional customer service I received. Unfortunately, in the times we now live in, you can't even receive BASIC customer service when that should be the standard, not the exception. Carine’s Bridal was my first appointment of the day, and while I didn’t end up getting my dress there, I almost didn't give my second fitting a fair shot because the experience Grace and Samantha provided was leaps and bound above the competition. “I searched for a classic bridesmaid dress for my girls and Bella Bridesmaids absolutely delivered that. From SO MANY selections, I would find it hard to not find a dress you liked. I had bridesmaids all down the east coast, and with the multiple locations, the DC store made it possible so my bridesmaids could order and pick up at the location nearest them.
My in person appointment was wonderful! Our consultant let my girls try on as many styles as they wanted and we never felt the pressure to get something that they did not love.

“You almost have to give this place a five-star since party City and just about any other party place closed up it's the only place in town. But they did have plenty of balloons, and a decent amount of decorations for all occasions and of course our Halloween stuff was always fed up in the back area of the store.”
