“It's a well-run store. Their website claimed they had some liquors that they didn't have in stock, which was disappointing to drive here only to be told that the website is incorrect. But other than that, nice people and knowledgeable about what they do carry. They also have sales from time to time, so good to check back and see if something you like is now less expensive”
“I’ve been coming to the brew shop since 2016 when I first moved down to the D.C. area for work.
If there is any place to go for beer in Arlington it’s this place. They always have the best selection and their staff is super helpful.
Also, special shout out to Shay who works at the Brew Shop! Shay is the single most knowledgeable person about beer I have ever met - in my entire life. He is a living, breathing encyclopedia of beer and his recommendations never fail to disappoint!”

“I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Amos who is currently employed at Calvert Woodley Fine Wines & Spirits. Amos provides excellent customer service with his polite and patient demeanor. He excels at matching a client’s budget with a choice of wine and champagne appropriate to the occasion. My daughter, Airlie, and her husband, Nicholas, from Chamonix, France, as well as her mother-in-law, were extremely impressed with his knowledge of champagne from the region, while still offering competitive price ranges. Hands down, Amos is my go-to person for a variety of social occasions!”

“I’d been trying to arrange a cheese and wine birthday basket for our daughter and was lucky to have Jon help me. He made great suggestions for items I wouldn’t have considered and made the present special. Their wine and cheese selections are broad and everyone who works there is always helpful and nice to work with. Great place to get advice on wine and cheese selections!”
“me and my mom will come here for what i call 'fort belvoir fridays' it is always such a good time i get excited seeing the base (the military was tough at times but i always made it through and i definitely think it improved my life one quote that has stuck with me so much is colin powell 'No matter how hungry you all are, lieutenant, you must never appear hungry. No matter how terrified you are, lieutenant, you must never look terrified. Because if you are scared, tried, hungry and cold…. they will be scared, tired, hungry and cold." i really feel for people on that one when i was in the signal corps doing morning formations) and i have a deep appreciation for the military as well to think of soldiers standing up for the country values or the fun side too being overseas living in germany or hearing of people getting korea as their duty station i have somewhat of a understanding for the lifestyle (i sympathize when i see people who look like they are hanging on to their job and where they live or think it's cool when i see the longterm personnel who adapt to that way of living pt the unit many years of commitment and even 'indoctrination' where too mil and affiliates can solve all my problems) um one thing that'll be real cool here is when we look around we'll also see other guests and i'll be reminded of like being in tradoc and getting your civilians or nco's and being stationed somewhere else it was georgia & germany mostly for me ft meade too the cashiers here have been phenomenal with their professionalism and demeanor a guy like a statue i'll definitely daydream about stuff like the hot gas station food or when i was in the barracks so this will be a pitstop i had mused about meeting people (i am pretty anchored here and thought i could be useful but then again i am a veteran and out) but heard warnings about that or also not wanting complaints for example”
“I can only speak to the craft beer portion. But because they're part of the Neighborhood Restaurant Group, they receive some truly rare beers that not even the best beer shops can get their hands on! Prices are fair. Staff is very knowledgeable.Recommendation is to open up more of their selection to both The Front Porch and Evening Star Cafe”

Though I do recommend coming for the wine selection, which is expertly curated, they do have a sundry of charcuterie items, a well stocked cheese case and they partner with a local sausage company.
It's just a really nice neighborhood wine shop offering unique finds in a friendly and approachable atmosphere!”

“I don’t know a lot about wine but wanted to bring something to a party that would make it seem like I did. :)The staff was SO friendly and knowledgeable and walked me through many unique options at all price ranges.I’ve been other places that look down on you if you don’t speak “wine language” My experience at Unwined was completely opposite of that! I got the best recommendations really enjoyed my shopping experience there.I felt confident about the selections I brought to the party and also picked up some fantastic craft beers and some gourmet foods to try.I will definitely be back! This is a great place to run into if you need to grab a gift for someone as well.”

“It's still five stars here, and they also opened the nearby Sara's Market. Love them both. But now the "food desert" aspects of Georgetown have improved since my previous review. We got our Whole Foods back (although it is mechanized, so the ambience sucks), and Trader Joe's opened, as did Wegman's and Streets. So there is competition, definitely, but this little corner shop still has my heart.”

“Stopped in this afternoon after reading the sandwich reviews. So many shops get subs wrong and they rocked it. Thin sliced turkey, the right amount of mayo, a nice sharp provolone and a soft roll with the right amount of chew. Anytime a liquor store dedicates floor space for a deli you know the sandwiches are gonna be great. This place did not disappoint. I'll be back for sure.”

“I go to this store a few times a year (when I am I. The area) and I am always greeted and welcomed to the store with a smile. Helpful staff and some good deals to be had throughout the entire store. This store us great for a quick trip or if you need to grab a few things for a party or your personal bar. This store is also located in a great area.”
